Bandit has caused too much trouble up here so he needs a new home soon or its lead poising for him. He is to the best of our knowledge 20 months very energetic impossible to contain to 1Ha.

I wrestled him off the ranger this afternoon because the lady at the ice cream factory will not ring when he goes there, yes he should not be there but he was getting better. He has a drivers license or reckons he does and is going for his pilots license.

20 months, that explains it. My dog was a real nuisance till she was about 2 1/2 years old. They say they take about 3 years to mature mentally.

This is my dog called Rodger, he is a pensioner dog and over his chew and destroy stage and just enjoys sitting in the sun or sleeping in his bed in the lounge room, He enjoys chasing Kangaroos but makes sure he doesn't catch them, barking at birds, snakes and Koala bears from a suitable distance.

The moral of the story is to go to the pet shelter and get an older dog that has all it's youthful zing over and done with.

All the best

Bob

Yea thanks Bob but you are no help, Bandit came to us as a rescue dog and at the time when we took him in he had 164A to run in, we chose to bring him with us and you can say we were wrong.

However there is one person and one person only over here who rings the pound when she sees him, if her ice creams were edible then the kids would not chuck them under the table and he would not be encouraged to eat them.

It is my responsibility to contain him, this I accept, I am trying to find a new home for him where he can run free, he has been well looked after with all vet things.

He is accepted by everybody else over here, I know it's the new kid on the block syndrome, the publican did suggest a course of action than would discourage the complainant but........

Allan,
We got a pound dog a little over a year ago. Whippet/Lab cross. We found out that meant digs like a Lab and runs like a Whippet.

She escaped - A LOT.

Did some searching on the internet and found these guys: http://sureguard.com.au/
They call themselves animal containment specialists. Bought one of the radio collar jobs. Got solar powered on to move it between suburban home and 8acre country property. Also thought with the guarantee, couldn't harm to try.

Dog no longer escapes. Wont go near a fence at all. Ever.

Not affiliated at all with the company, just a grateful customer and still dog owner.

Cheers,
Glenn

Hi Glenn,
I have a containment system works spiffingly until he wants to escape, then he runs like greased lightening straight through it, 3 yelps and he is gone.

regards Allan
