Leave it to an Australian to figure out how to make electricity from Beer byproducts. http://www.physorg.com/news97341527.html A tip of the hat on that one .... Russ |

I know BruceDownunder2 measures time by beer. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |

In South Australia there are 2 large breweries so dose this mean a peak output of 4 Kw for SA? I would think the average industrial brewery could save a lot more energy by getting the office workers to turn of their computers at night or managing their lighting requirements carefully. Interesting technology but the electricity side of it seems trivial. |

I think you're reading more into it than was stated. The unit they quoted is capable of 2KW, but the output from a brewery could probably run a whole bank of them. |

Sounds better by the minute. How long do you think before this can be scaled down for the home brew fraternity? I hope they will come in a kit as my hands are too shaky to go attaching tiny wires to microbes... was working fine... til the smoke got out. Cheers Gill _Cairns, FNQ |
