Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I think there is an error in Gill’s (rip) data logger schematic.
He shows the SDA line from the eeprom and rtc connected to picaxe IC pin 11 and I think it should be IC pin 7 as this is the I2C sda pin on a 18x.
If building this circuit it would be advisable to swap IC pins 11 and 7 and the pull up resistor changed from pin 11 to pin 7
Please note I have quoted the ic pin numbers not the picaxe pins.
There is also some errors in the picaxe outputs numbering in relation to the actual ic pins.
I don’t see how the circuit will work as drawn with the error.
I think this is only a paper error and not a circuit fault. (easy mistake to make)
Maybe a errata should be added as a foot note to Gill’s work.

Pete.

Sometimes it just works

Yes your right. His veroboard layout is right, is just the circuit thats out. I've put a note on the web page.

Thanks for spotting the error.
