I have found a very easy way to "toner-transfer" for protoypes...
after cleaning the copper, spread a very small amount of
clove oil on it, and then press the laserprint onto the
pcb. Use heavy pressure (stand on it).
Carefully (gradually) moisten the paper until it is wet through.
Peeling the paper off leaves the toner stuck fast, quite
resistant to removal.

I guess the clove oil has eugenol which binds to metals,
or maybe it's just gummy

You have to scrub the
copper with the oil a bit for the best results. Using too
much oil in the final step gives fuzziness and less adhesion.

How renewable is that !!! I wouldn't use it for large pcbs
though, the paper expands etc.

That sounds really cool! Thanks for the tip.

Have you tried this with press-n-peel blue or dissolvo type paper?

Or is this just for direct toner transfer with regular paper?

I've only used regular paper and HP toner so far,
it works ok (usually). Use the darkest print
settings though.
