Hi. I just wonder can high voltage (600volt) GBU406 rectifier be used for a low voltage circuit say upto 30 volt. thx |

Yes. Results may vary. High voltage rectifiers are more expensive, and generally have a higher voltage drop across the junction(s). A high voltage diode from a microwave oven wont even test properly unless you can feed a hundred odd volts through it, I used a megga meter to test those diodes when I fixed microwaves back in the 90's. Ideally, you use a diode with a voltage closer to your circuit voltage. Less voltage drop and better current handling.
