Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.
I have a lot of Silicon Chip magazines that take up a lot of space. I would like to free up some space by replacing the hard copies with copies on DVDs. They would be much easier to access rather than digging through archive boxes as I currently do.
I have contacted Silicon Chip magazine to suggest that they release the first 20 years of the magazine as PDFs on a couple of DVDs, say 10 years on each DVD. Silicon Chip has replied that they are considering doing this but there is no firm commitment from them.
I thought I would ask forum members
a) if they would be seriously interested in buying copies if they became available on DVD?
b) what price they would consider would be reasonable for each DVD if it contained 10 Years of issues?
I am interested to hear what forum members think on the topic? Do it once and do it right.

I currently subscribe to SC print @ $105pa. To upgrade to a combined subscription is $20. So I guess SC would want to get something that is in tune with this, say $30-50 for 10 years less for the older decades. I doubt I would pay that.
In the past I have purchased single issues for specific projects but not often. Next renewal I might get the combined and see how often I use it. Edited by Alastair 2017-12-02Cheers, Alastair

I would be interested in DVD copies. I also subscribe to SC.
I have every SC back to about 2001 & they take up a lot of shelf space.
I would be happy to pay up to $40 for 10 years worth.
