Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Great specs, better than the HY4008 with higher voltage rating, lower Rds(on) and greater current capability; Ideal for inverters running off 50v battery systems, I ordered 30 last week for use in the PWM charge controller. The equivalent IRFP4468 costs about 2 x the price from the same site.

I bought 30 last week.
I probably will end up using them in the home inverter build that is proving to
be a headache. Maybe they will be the missing secret sauce.

Mike,
RS Components want $10 each for the IRFP4468. How can it be the same part
when it costs $2.70 each (10+) from LCSC. Something is going on.
Element14 want $8 ea. OK, RS is a bit spendy...
Mouser want $8 too.
Would these on LCSC be fakes?
wronger than a phone book full of wrong phone numbers

They used to be made in Mexico, think there is a factory in China now, so I guess source prices there are lower.

The last batch of 50 I purchased from Arrow in the USA about  a year ago, cost approx US$4 each, with free shipping, Avnet currently have them at approx US$3.00 each in the USA on 1000 up quantities, so prices are a matter of scale; RS are always expensive at low volumes as prices include shipping.

Hopefully not, huge company, reputation to lose.

I hope they work out in your inverter rebuild and you can track down the gremlin.

Cheers
Mike
