anyone know where I can get 3M Mylar insulation tape for winding
SMPSU transformers in Australia? I'm in North Queensland.

I use the yellow mylar high temp tape.
This is # 814-K250012 12mm x 33m on a roll. This is expensive stuff. $20 or more per roll.
I brought mine from O'Brien AIM in Adelaide.

Hello
I have some reels of PTFE tape, which as far as I know is the same as mylar. Came from a Government sale, new, 36" long by 3" wide and about 0.015" thick, slightly self adhesive, £1GBP each plus £1GBP airmail post.
Am I allowed to sell things like this?

PTFE is not the same as mylar. I doubt that trflon would have the required mechanical propereties, even it the electrical properties seem OK.
