False alarm there must have been only a few left in stock I ordered one this afternoon and mine is confirmed. I just looked at the ad and it now has a big message; "no longer available" Dont Delay !! Ali express currently has (HAD) a special going for a table saw. It is a little smaller than the one I bought which I paid ~ $140 for and freight was ~ $25 from memory. This little unit here will set me back $22.21 delivered to my door. I assume it has a variable voltage adaptor supplied with it like mine was for multiple pre-set speeds. I just bought a second one for small jobs and donor parts for my other saw if it ever stops. I assume the black round gizmo is an expendable finger for pushing small things through a bit close for comfort. It would be useful for cutting up prototype boards 100mm x 100mm which I often have a need to do. I have put multiple circuits on the PCB but get it made as a single PCB sometimes with up to 64 small separate(able) adaptor PCBs per 100 x 100 piece. ~ 340 PCBs for a $6.20 outlay ~ 2c per PCB. I also use it to shorten spacers, cut plastics turn 18 pin machined pin sockets into 2 x 8 pin dip sockets (I haven't used 18 pins in years and have a heap of them....) shorten phoenix connectors ie 12 pin to 8 pin etc. There are diamond chip saw blades (it needs a 60 - 63mm blade with 16mm centre hole) for ~ $3 on Ali - do not try to cut fibre glass PCB with the supplied saw blade it wont be a pretty result. The cuts with a diamond chip blade look like they come from the factory, a brilliant result, the diamond chip blades are around 0.5 - 0.6mm wide. This message might not be placed in the correct topic but I think most of the electronic guys will see it best here. That's insane Mike. How can they do that ... and why? We couldn't even freight one of those from Melbourne to Adelaide for that price, let alone buy the saw as well. Well done for scoring one and hope it works out well. Cheers, Roger |

Hi Roger, I guess they needed to make some space or get some cash quickly ? I agree totally, to send it back to them if there was a problem with the saw, it would cost probably 2 to 3 times what I paid for the whole unit and postage. Apparently they cleared ~ 200 units at that price, I suspect some buyers might have bought multiple units for resale. I would have bought more than one if I knew they would run out so fast. It was tempting to just delete almost my whole initial post just after I noticed the "out of stock" message but there were a few hints in it so I decided to leave it there. Its a shame that no-one else on the forum got to take advantage of the offer. But in life often there is the quick and the quicker... If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Hi Mike, Yeah I could see them being bought in bulk to be resold, that makes sense. The funny thing is I saw a small saw similar to that in an ad a week ago ... and while it was a similar size it was a lot cruder and more basic. And I thought of you immediately because I was sure I had read where you had a small pcb saw years ago. And then when you made the post, I thought the link would show what I had seen in my ad ... but no! Just for a change I thought about it and instead of buying an extra tool that will sit on a shelf and be rarely if ever be used ... I was disciplined and scrolled on. ![]() Doesn't happen very often and I was proud of myself ... besides, you've seen my shelves ... there's no room left anyway. Cheers, Roger |

I can't see 96W of power doing much to 1.6mm copper clad fibreglass boards. If it works for you Mike, then my best wishes it keeps doing so ![]() I cut my PCB boards with a home made saw which uses those 1mm abrasive 100mm diameter blades. For these I used the right angle gearbox from a junked angle grinder. The input shaft was adapted to clamp in a drill chuck. The drill is an older type 2 speed 240v power drill, running on the slow speed setting. With the angle gear box reduction the blade speed is just right for cutting PCB's. The table is made from junked 3mm alu plate. I think I posted pictures of it some time ago if my memory still serves. It's a cheap project for those not afraid of tinkering. |

W'ere in luck guys Ali just keeps the good stuff coming. Here is another table saw for $23.39 delivered to your door - if you dare..... And more specials..... ![]() ![]() ![]() Phil, I looked a bit more and was presented with the images above hmm a plasma arc tig mig for $4.53 outrageous, bloody rip off merchants!! You know the old saying if it sounds too good to be true, Im wondering if Ill get what is pictured as a picture - what you expected a real saw for $23 lol. Something is seriously screwy with Ali at the moment I suggest lots of caution and pay with paypal as if Alis guarantee doesn't refund paypal will - good luck! Edit: If I broke any rules posting pictures instead of links - -it was a momentary lapse of judgement - wont happen again sorry! Certainly some strange Ali pricing, I think the pictures tell us what you saw, where as links can change and show something different later and we wouldn't know better ![]() I will stick with the little ferrex rotary tool with a 22mm Diamond cutting disc, not ideal but have to say the little disc cuts the Fiberglass spacers very well, perhaps it would be better with a proper spindle. I have seen that motor spindle (photo under the table saw) before on ali, looks like someone cobbled it to a small table saw. Cheers Aaron Off The Grid |

Who said I would not receive anything after ordering this nifty little PCB saw ! Today my package arrived - I opened it and took a photograph of my latest acquisition. Without further ado here it is; ![]() I am guessing that this is the hook to hang it on when it actually arrives lol. Needless to say I lodged a claim for a refund and got an answer within hours; "Your refund of $22.21 AUD from ALIPAY (AUSTRALIA) PTY LTD Is on its way!" An embarrassing lesson well learnt! If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |

Wow, the bunch of cretins. I'm interested in the process of claiming your money back. I recently received several items from aliexpress that don't fully work and have had no response to my enquiries. Do I just make a claim through PayPal and ask for my money back? Cheers, Roger |

Hi Roger, good to see your Warpverter is giving you good service. Open the Aliexpress site and log in, in the top right corner should be a little icon with "Hi Roger". Now hover the mouse cursor over the Hi Roger and a dropdown list appears, the top one is "orders". Click on that and a list of your recent orders appears. Find the offending order in the list and in its top right corner (of the offending order image) & there is a button marked "order details". Now after clicking on order details, just under some writing about Service commitment and order date etc there is another image of your initial order with a picture, and on the right hand side 2 choices "add to cart" and "returns/refunds". When you press the return refunds it usually asks whether you have received the item even though you may have earlier already clicked the received goods, just reconfirm you received the order, then a new page opens with a pull down list "select a reason" and now choose the option which best describes the issue. You don't have to go through contacting the supplier first, but if you have it shows you did try to resolve the problem, but once they are paid, it is also unlikely they will be overly helpful beyond sending out a replacement for a cheap item (maybe with the same issue). Best to continue with the refund and do include a photo showing the issue and write a few words with it about what the issue is. I have only had to do this a couple of times and there was no to & fro of messages just a refund within 24 - 48 hours. If they ask you to return the goods you usually have to pay for the return and then send the receipt to Ali for reimbursement, however for a few dollar item postage back is likely more than the item is worth so you get to keep the junk and get a refund anyway. Keep in mind that you are allowed a few free returns per month. Edited 2025-02-06 11:24 by wiseguy If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |

Roger, I did get a refund for a faulty solar panel from Ebay and some parts that never turned up. Some sellers like to argue the point before they refund. I now always use Pay Pal and there is no problem getting a refund from them. It may take a while but it goes straight into your account with them. Also, with all internet purchases, it helps to check the shipping fees. Some sellers (particularly from the USA) sell their parts cheap and then add a ridiculously high shipping fee, hoping you miss that bit when you order ![]() |

Well my laser router turned up this afternoon and guess what it's a door handle ![]() ![]() Now as I have a 3.5" LCD also on the way I got an email from aussie post saying when they receive the item it will be repacked. So this whole thing may be a scam in aussie post where a decent item comes in and an employee decides it may look better at my place. My brotherinlaw does work for aussie post so the question is going to asked to him about this issue and if it is going on then it's time my local politician knew about it. |

I purchased one of the Mini Table saws that Wiseguy mentioned, however I payed more as I bought it from a high rep seller, and I optioned for the extra cutting discs and this model has blade height adjustment, IMHO at $84 including postage it's still a bargain considering the build quality, hell the adjustable speed power pack would cost more over here in AU, and I'd have to pay for postage. It arrived 3 days ago in perfect condition and works a treat. Thank Mike for posting about this device ![]() NANO Controller: Full download or Hex files Mike |

Thank Mike, it's still behaving itself well ... and thanks for the detailed explanation about refunds. I had got so far and then couldn't understand why my only option was to upload a photo and not provide a written explanation. So after your details I did upload a photo ... but then it asked for a written explanation ... but no place to put it. Maybe I needed to write one out and then take a photo of that!!! Anyway, it offered that I could avoid that if I just said I wanted to return it (as against saying it was faulty) ... so I ended up clicking that and it processed it. So we'll see if I get my money back. The item is a Junctek Shunt and Current meter very similar to the one I started with ... but also has Wifi which means I can monitor it from the house. Of course all that is wrong with it is the wifi doesn't work ... everything else does ... though it occasionally blips off and restarts immediately, so there's more wrong with it. I also fitted a power meter solely for the 5kW GTI ... but that only lasted 20 mins before it went off and wont start again. Was only $20 so I'm not bothered, but first real problems I've had with aliexpress. Cheers, Roger |

Thanks Klaus, I only use paypal too because I had heard stories about refunds in the past. My original Junctek Shunt and Current meter came from ebay and was faulty early on ... but the process of getting it fixed was really straightforward and the seller was responsive and asked a few questions, then sent a new board for the shunt, which fixed it promptly. I agree with you that you have to watch the shipping costs. Have seen really bad examples lately too where the shipping is 3 or 4 times the cost of the item ... and is added on for each additional item you add. Cheers, Roger |

Morning Rodger I went thru the same thing yesterday uploaded a photo and it said I need a written statement and no where to put it. So I just did the option of I no longer want it and about an hour later got an email saying I was getting a full refund. I also replied to a email from Ali with a full written reply and photo. also one thing I noticed the order number from Ali and what was on the package was different. Edit: I did go and look at my orders on Ali and saw a link where I could leave a review so I just did a beauty calling the vendor a fraud and fully explaining the difference between a door handle and a laser engraver. So the expected feedback is going to be to one to watch ![]() Edited 2025-02-07 08:47 by Bryan1 |

Just above the area where you click to upload a video or picture are the words; "Please provide valid proof or you may consider "No longer needed" as the return option in case you're uncertain of the proof" - This is actually a very cleverly disguised invitation. If you place the mouse cursor anywhere within that writing and start typing the writing disappears and is replaced with your typing. That is how I sent the message with the picture. At one stage I was going to type my reply into notepad take a screen capture paste it into paint and save it as a jpg to attach as an extra picture and that sucked, so I tried a few more things on that page and found the secret. Bryan I commend you venting to them lol but I consider that any a-hole who does that has no conscience or scruples at all (a miserable excuse for a human being) and will care little about what anyone has to say - that is why I resisted doing the same. If at first you dont succeed, I suggest you avoid sky diving.... Cheers Mike |

Not directly related to the scams above, but if the shipping is too cheap the goods often don't arrive. After 2 months AE do arrange a refund after a bit of back and forth with the vendor offering a refund of $0.00. However after that time you still haven't got what you want. Perhaps everyone already knows this but I just recently found you can change the shipping method by clicking "Shipping: AU$x.xx ". 'Cainiao Super Economy Global' is unreliable but 'AliExpress standard shipping' hasn't failed yet. eg. Edited 2025-02-07 10:11 by phil99 |
