i have 6 wire stepper motor and i don't know are they + or - wires wire colors are brown,pink,blackred,orange and yellow.somebody can help me? |

+ and - don't matter. You need to get 3 bridge rectifiers and hook up each phase to it's own rectifier. Use a multimeter and see which leads tone out. You will have 3 pairs of 2. Run each pair to a bridge rectifier then combine all three + outputs together and all 3 - leads together. This will give you lower volts, but higher amps. If you want higher volts and lower amps, hook the outputs up in series. +-+- |

Just measure the resistance with a multimeter between one wire and the rest and you should find two other wires will give a resistance reading. These three wires are one half of the motor. Do the same for the remaining three wires. You should now have 2 groups of 3 wires. Use the 2 wires in each group that have the highest resistance reading between them. Leave the lower resistance reading 2 wires unused. Sometimes it just works |
