hi people just a simple one

just need some info on connection of a p channel mosfet to a picaxe found lots of info everywhere on n channel, as im the auto electrical world everything has a negative ground so if in a n channel system (switched nagatively) the wire shorted to ground it would be fully energised.
i have looked at the pump controller and the charge controller and these are both n channel. would it work if i did it in reverse using the same control circuits, ie; add a resistor from the gate to positive to keep it off when the picaxe isnt driving it and another one in line between the gate and picaxe to operate it

thanks in advance

Ok thats an N channel but you could do the same with a p channel if reverse the battery and the led.
