"The Federal Government has described a multi-million-dollar legal settlement over CSIRO's Wi-Fi technology as a major boost for the organisation. The settlement secures more than $220 million for the Australian organisation, which invented the technology in the 1990s. Wi-Fi technology is used in more than 3 billion electronic devices worldwide, including personal computers, video games and mobile phones." Great to see the CSIRO David is getting some money from the Goliaths. The various govs. have cut the research budgets back according to papers and TV; dung beetle research was one project and there are others, which I cannot remember. Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up. Winston Churchill |
