Ross,

I was looking at the photos of your setup and what
you had to say about the generator interactive unit Vs
rectify then invert. I've looked around and cannot find
a product by Lantronics that does generator interaction.
Was this a custom build? Is their website just old?

Also, does that unit charge the batt bank from 240V in?

I'm looking for a system in the 7-10KW range 48V and
preferably with built in charger.

Mine isn't a lantronics, and I don't recall ever saying it was or that lantronics made one.

Mine is from "Power Solutions Australia" - I think now taken over by selectronic.

Mine will charge the batteries from the 240V *generator* - I don't have grid power at all, and this inverter is not designed to have "grid power" connected to it.

Mine is a 5KW (continuous), runs from a 48V nominal bank, but the same people have larger units - I just couldn't afford one.

for some reason I thought the specs & logo in the
pics looked like a Lantronics, but alas, twas not

Wow,

been reading the manuals for the PS1 series by Selectronics...
What a sweet piece of gear. It’s worth every cent of what
it costs. I was going to go with an Outback based system,
but seeing what this Australian made unit can do has
changed my mind. Great features, excellent user settings
in LCD menu, and looks very heavily built.

Good thing you posted some info on your system Ross.

I haven't looked recently at the specs etc....
