Ladies and gents.... I give you the Gill-SouthEaster Standard for DC plugs (GSSD#000)!
After extensive research involving several minutes on Google and this forum, the following is found to be an appropriate standard for plug sockets for DC systems:
Two flat pins one above the other, and at ninety degrees to each other. The horizontal pin shall be negative, and the vertical positive. Example is Clipsal part# 492/32
Now we all we need to do is work out something for 12V/24V and maybe 36V...sigh.South Easter
