Hello,
I am trying to build a 24 volt dc gen set using a 100 amp alternator,delco_remy brand, can anyone tell me what horsepower disel engine is required, would the Honda 9Hp diesel drive this alternator?

Can you give me more detail about diesel engine what is max rpm and max rpm when reach 100amp alternator then you could work out by direct drive or run on V belt and there are Honda petrol motor with fix alternater (direct driven) Honda 12V 5.5Hp 120Amp Battery Charger(Without Digital Ampmeter) See http://www.renewablestore.com.au/battery-chargers/accessorie s/

Thanks for reply, Alternator is a Delco-remy model 34SI, acccording to graph 6000 RPM wil give 100amps at 24 volts, Honda Motor, 9HP diesel at 2200 RPM, hope this info will help.
