Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I am using a 200-amp rectifier (oversize for safety) in my EV. It is mounted in a plastic enclosure with a fan and air filter. I intend to use it with a generator for range extension and charging when parked.

Rick,
What are you using for a generator??
Are you using some form of regulation?? Particularly when parked, when batteries are full, there needs to be a cut back in charging.
My idea of the generator is to use *ONLY* in full attendance, that is while driving. Overcharged batteries will die quickly.Trev @ drivebynature.com
