Cute. Are they Spoodles? Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Cavoodles - King Charles Spaniel/Poodle. While a would-be burglar might roll around on the floor in laughter, they do make a lot of noise when something that's not normal happens. Things like stock on the road, strange vehicles in the neighbours paddock and any visitors. VK7JH MMedit |

They are obviously well aware of the cameras positions- unfortunately most cameras are actually quite visible in the dark- given away by their IR leds- which are still emitting visible red light in most cameras One trick I have successfully used is 'dummy' cameras (or actual functioning ones if you have enough spare video inputs on your recorder) 'herding' them towards hidden pinhole cameras views The IR from the visible cameras is usually enough to illuminate them for the hidden camera too We successfully stopped a group of kids that were regularly breaking into a warehouse yard and tagging trucks (big white pantechs, a perfect target for taggers to do their 'art' grrrr on in 10ft high letters...) They were jumping the fence from a neighbouring yard that had stuff piled against the common fence and would walk past the two cameras looking the other way, obviously aware of them. The last two times they did it tho, what they didnt know was I had installed 4 (nothing like a bit of overkill!!!) 'pinhole' cameras at various points in their path and they in avoiding the visible cameras were 'posing' perfectly for the hidden ones- perfect full frontal faceshots, up close and personal-from about three feet away lol We were able to associate each one with his/her particular tag by watching footage from the other cameras, and the next day instead of repainting the trucks white again, they had massive vinyl 'posters' of their faces made up about a meter high, and each one was put next to their tag with "I am the one that vandalized this truck' under their face Within two days, all the various parents had contacted the company to ask for their childrens faces to be removed from the trucks and had paid for repainting etc, those tags were never seen again anywhere in town... Success!!!! |

LOL Great thinking - I bet those kids got a right b*ll*cking off their parents. Tough nuts huh? That footage is weird, two of them look to be on the verge of starving so i wounder is they were looking for left over food or something ![]() The actions are most definitely looking for something specific - running their hands down the edges of things is most odd and being mostioned to search in a specific place. Have you had any (skinny) youngsters visit recently or a neighbors or anything... how would they know what to look for etc...? I am sure you have asked yourself this and a thousand questions over and over. I am curious to see what comes of this - it certainly doesn't look like a normal opportunistic break-in despite the mundane stuff they did take. |

exactly what you need - I bet they are great little characters, will make a lot of noise if anything odd is happening and will wind each other up so the alarm will be heard. |

That's Brilliant! Exactly the sort of out the box thinking that is effective and provides a lesson never forgotten. Given the time and actions of these little scum in Phils house, it's definite it's not the first Place they have been into nor were they scared of being Discovered. |
