No, it works fine.

Did you actually test your example? Your program will fall over because it tries to play the sound while it is still playing from a previous loop. Also the repeated printing to the screen hides what is going on. This short program makes it much easier to test:

Do
If Touch(x) <> -1 Then
Print Touch(x), Touch(y)
If Touch(x) > 100 Then
On Error Skip
Play WAV "am.wav"
EndIf
EndIf
Loop

And this works fine (touch keeps responding).

My short code does keep running for me. I tried your example and touch stops responding as soon as play starts. This is on an Explore100 board. Same code on Explore64 and touch keeps working.

Interesting... My test code was on an Explore 100.

A long time ago I had an issue where one SD card in particular interfered with the touch controller (caused it to hang). I have a lot of test gear here but none of it showed anything wrong and I could never work out why the touch controller was so sensitive. In the end I wrote it off to experience as the problem only occurred with one SD card on one Explore 100 board. However, it sounds like you have the same issue.

The fix is easy, try a number of SD cards from different manufacturers.
