Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I use edge 90% of the time and although I get the 'do you want notifications' messages I just ignore them or decline. The other 10% I use Chrome because it has a nice 'developer' tool that helps with debugging. It has the same notification messages of course and they get treated the same. To manage notifications I just hit the 'start' button and type notification. There all the settings are available for all kinds of notifications with an easy on/off switch. I normally have 'Get notifications from apps and other senders' off. Or scrolling more down you can switch on/off individual ones.
My website uses notifications and it is a really good addition for it as it alerts users for important events. Using it for that purpose is incredibly usefull. Unfortunately I think it will disappear as it gets misused by advertising, as always... The next question is, how to get money to website publishers without annoying ads and meanwhile keep users. Google actually helps a lot of sites including this ones, but their other activities are getting worse, same as facebook. For really helpful, fun or interesting sites/projects I just chip in a few bucks per month if they have that option. Microblocks. Build with logic.
