not unheard of here either. I did a weird half-moon shaped PCB to go in the clock of a Harley FDX. I had it roughly routed in the gerbers as I planned to finish by hand on the belt sander as each clock housing seems to be unique. Same thing here - assembled and some of the segments of the LEDs were out. A trace was right on the edge and *I* had removed it as I shaped the outer curve of the PCB despite being oh-so careful. ![]() Meh. It happens. That's what enameled copper wire is for ![]() Glad you found it. h Edited 2020-08-04 17:46 by CaptainBoing |

Me, I am too much of a perfectionist in that department, so have corrected the ORIGINAL PCB, so that the grouhd is much better routed and most-definetly now in place, and am having the boards made again. ![]() Enamelled wire etc to confirm the error, but then I can't bring myself to leave them like that, so a new batch of boards it is. ![]() Your display looks awesome, BTW! ![]() ![]() Smoke makes things work. can't fault that. If I were to get any more boards done there are a number of screw-ups I would correct but the run is tiny so the original 10 boards I had done (as a min order) will last forever and probably go in the skip with the rest of the workshop contents when I croak. Until then, NO PRISONERS!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited 2020-08-08 20:30 by CaptainBoing |
