I found some on Walmart.com but it was horrifically expensive ![]() You might also try a speciality deli catering to the ex-pat community. You could also make your own using a (small) quantity of standard marmite added to (unsweetened) peanut butter. Marmite goes a very long way, you do not need much to get the authentic taste. NZ Marmite and Vegimite are different (and stronger flavoured) than the UK product. My wife loves Peanut Butter Marmite. Personally my favourite is Marmite and Watercress sandwiches on buttered white bread. As an alternative to the traditional american PBJ sandwich, I can recommend PB and Spring Onion sandwiches for a savoury alternative. "Switching back to the Maximite" ... I am toying with the idea of a basic program to animate a 3D point cloud of the iconic Marmite Jar. A friend has "blendered" the 3D model, I just need to get around to the basic code. Perhaps an idea for one of our antipodean colleagues to do something similar with a Vegemite jar ??? Regards Womble desperately trying to keep on topic ![]() |

Marmite? Vegimite? What is it with you people and the devil's ear wax? ============= When you deal with numbers, you write and say (unless you're German) the digits from largest to smallest, left to right. Millions, thousands, hundreds, tens, ones, tenths, hundredths, ... you get the idea. Why would you not do the same with time, when it is expressed as numbers? For the date, start with largest, years, and work to the right and smaller. Which, lo and behold, is exactly what CaptainBoing's link to ISO-8601 suggests. Visit Vegipete's *Mite Library for cool programs. |
