Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I usually ground one or two on each side. I don't bother otherwise. The AGND does need to be "clean" for best results when using the analogue inputs. It's not connected to the main ground, it's attached to a separate ground plane beneath the analogue lines and, I think, part of the RP2040.

What are we looking at here?

Only when I noted what the image file is named do I have much of a clue: PGA2040 Running MMBasic.PNG (aside from the raspberry pi logo on the chip).

OK, looks like I bricked it.

Attempted to go above 250MHz and MMBasic complained. Selected 245MHz and, as expected, lost the connection. Would not reconnect, port no-longer shows-up in device manager and of course, can't re-flash.

Nope...it's back again

No amount of unplugging the USB made a difference but apparently it was Windoze that got its knickers in a twist.

Power-cycled the PC and all was good. Nuked the flash and re-flashed with MMBasic...all good

The speed has to be such that the PLL can generate the 48MHz clock for USB. I haven't tried to check the validity of speeds as nothing I tried has given a problem thus far. Would certainly suggest you stick to multiples of 8 though. Did you try 250MHz which is known good (as is 200)

Yeah, 250MHz seems rock solid. I only tried 245MHz to see if it would take weird values.

I kinda like this module because I can have my own beefy USB connector. Micro USB is too puny.

Pretty funny because my control system is branded "Phenix" (no 'o')
