Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

  Volhout said  @Craig,

Yes, that is the thing.

Software: 1.1.34

I know this software works with the unit you have. The later (1.2.x) versions, somewhere there is a change that does ot support the cheap chinese stuff anymore.

Thanks buddy....But it shows "disconnected". Need to investigate

Mine (not the same version as yours) works with the 2.3.26 software.
(It's just wanting to upgrade to 2.3.55)

No prob. TBH I feel guilty about using their software with a Chinese clone of their gear, even though I'm not doing so commercially. I've tried an open source one but it was extremely poor in comparison and didn't work very well at all. It rather left my options limited.

Oh, and mine works with 2.3.55 too now. :)

It's a tablet 'scope, John. His link is to Amazon, where they can afford to switch the lights on  ;)

Auto-exposure can be a pain. lol

This is on my if-only-I-had-the-time list. The schematic alone might be of some interest.

while these are pretty cool and certainly do have their uses, be wary of the claimed specifications. dave's review is worth a look:

a friend of mine has one, and is very happy with it for the sorts of things he wants to do - mostly looking at vehicle sensor outputs and data buses.

cheers,
rob   :-)

My type use doesn't demand much ' specs ' ....
What I do hope for ( and have been disappointed
( in the past ( with cheap CRT scopes ) ) )
is length of service . The switches are what
would go ... And since no ( mechanical ) switches
here , maybe better ... ( Though I do think I
hear some relays clicking @ times ) ...
Best thing is the ' auto - settup ' which really
works well

Sure. Same with my Picoscope

It'll we something similar to the K3 and K4 relays on the schematic (pdf) that I attached, a couple of posts ago.
