Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Tom, All,

  thwill said
... and @bigmik has successfully machined me a 3mm case in clear acrylic (just top and bottom) for my 1.4 PCB, photos when I have them.

I was going to wait and write a follow up to the NC milling thread I started but As I am about to go and chase golf balls around a nice park I did a quick photo before I leave.

It needs a bit of a polish on the edges but I am pretty happy with the result.

Amazing what a different cutter (and maybe faster x-Y speeds) do to cutting acrylic.

Anyway Tom, I will cut another one and they will be on their way to you soon.

Regards,

Mick

Hi Rickard,

Your machine is the same as mine, I will post more comments in the thread I started on CNC milling.
But what is the hose clamp on the motor mount?

As I this is about SD card and connection to them

Mick
the 3018s have a known issue with the Motor mount Cracking, and the easiest  fix is to wrap a clamp around it, I'll post up some pics
