Hi Grogster !

My MX25l25645 SOP8-Flash have arrived.

I successfully swapped the flash to the MX25l25645.
Windows formats it with FAT and correctly shows 32 MB.
I copied a mp3-file with round 9MB and it also works.  
The flash write speed is about 355kB per second.

My conclusion:
.)the MX25l25645 works without problems on the player
.)no problems with the detection in windows
.)changing the flash is no problem for an experienced solderer
