Remember that the ILI number has nothing to do with the circuit of the board - it's the  part number of the driver chip connected to the LCD panel. You can expect variations between manufacturers and even between different batches from the same manufacturer. If you want consistency then you have to order official part numbers from a proper stockist, not "2.4" ILI9488" from no-name Chinese sellers. :)

True, you get what you pay for. I don't think there's a 2.4" ili9488.

loads of prices. ebay ones have been fine, lucky maybe.
Farnell are ok but the postage is more than the item.
