That sounds great Peter, Will wireless keyboard dongles be compatible with the new firmware and will this be ported to the PicoMite as well as PicoVGA? Although it won’t have the same versatility as the VGA one would have. Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

Is that really necessary? Unfortunately, there are some designs where the button is not or only very poorly accessible... Frank |

If he needs a command name slot for KEYDOWN than that may be a reason to remove it. All the available slots are currently used. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

The alternative is to connect to the pico at 1200 baud. That puts it into update mode. Jim VK7JH MMedit |

How about an OPTION UPDATE FIRMWARE? (Not really an option, but an overloading of the OPTION token for one-time use.) PicoMite, Armmite F4, SensorKits, MMBasic Hardware, Games, etc. on fruitoftheshed |

It's nothing to do with command slots. It uses a function that is only enabled when a USB console device is enabled in the cmake file. |

That makes sense. You can't download an update file from a keyboard. :) I assume the button or connecting at 1200bd will work via the serial console on GP8 & GP9. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

I doubt it. Once you are in firmware update mode, you are at the mercy of the pico bootloader. Jim VK7JH MMedit |

I did suspect that once I thought about it more, as the Boot button directly triggers the flash, not the RP2040. Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |
