Man, do I know where you are coming from.

I do have "Front Designer", but it exports PLT files.  Microsoft Store DOES have a tool called PLT to DXF...  however, it seems that app is broken... so no-go.

I'm still not understanding why you have issues using "save-as" in Inkscape though...

Save-as DXF works for me in Inkscape Version 1.3.2

Actually it's worse than that; I must have selected something accidentally but I can't get a single object to draw. Just as if I was trying to draw a white object on a white background. Obviously it's something silly but I haven't found it.

Crazy because I have a good bit of experience with Inkscape.
