COMMON SENSE BUT A TIMELY REMINDER TO US ALL

TIPS ON PUMPING PETROL

I don't know what you guys are paying for Petrol.... but

here in Melbourne we are paying up to $1.30 to $1.50 per litre. My line

of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks

to get more of your money's worth for every Litre:

Here at the Shell Pipeline where I work in Melbourne, we deliver

about 4 million litres in a 24-hour period through the pipeline.. One day

is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and Petrol, regular and premium

grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of

16,800,000 Litres.

Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when

the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations

have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the

more dense the Petrol, when it gets warmer Petrol expands, so

buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your litre is not exactly

a litre. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the

temperature of the Petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other

petroleum products plays an important role.

A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business.

But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the

pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle

to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3)

stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode,

thereby minimizing the vapours that are created while you are pumping.

All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the

fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour.

Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage

tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your Petrol

tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more Petrol you have in

your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Petrololine evaporates

faster than you can imagine. Petrol storage tanks have an internal

floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the Petrol and

the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation.. Unlike service

stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature

compensated so that every litre is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a Petrol truck pumping into

the storage tanks when you stop to buy Petrol, DO NOT fill up; most

likely the Petrol is being stirred up as the Petrol is being

delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles

on the bottom.

All the best

Bob

THE INCLUDED INFORMATION IS REFERENTIAL AND NOT INTENDED TO IMPINGE ON LIFESTYLE OR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS OF ANY DENOMINATION OR SECT. IT IS INTENDED TO SHOW THAT INFLUENCE ISN'T A RELIGIOUS INFLUENCE BUT A LIFESTYLE AND POLITICAL CONTROL MECHANISM THAT PERMEATES OUR WESTERN IDEOLOGY LIKE A DEADLY CANCER.

Here is a perspective by Dr. Peter Hammond. Dr. Hammonds doctorate is in
Theology. He was born in Capetown in 1960, grew up in Rhodesia and
Converted to Christianity in 1977. od

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism
And Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a
Complete, total, 100% system of life.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military
Components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other
Components.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to
Agitate for their religious privileges.

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies
Agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other
Components tend to creep in as well..

Here's how it works:

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given
Country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving
Minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is
The case in:
United States -- Muslim 0..6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and
Disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among
Street gangs.
This is happening in:
Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to
Their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the
Introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing
Food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on
Supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with
Threats for failure to comply.
This is occurring in:
France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow
Them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic
Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the
Entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase
Lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we
Are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and
Results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition
To Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily,
Particularly in Muslim sections, in:
Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad
Militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian
Churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror
Attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:
Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of
All other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic
Cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax
Placed on infidels, such as in:
Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run
Ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the
Infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and
In some ways is on-going in:
Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of
Peace.. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim,
the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such
as in:
Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the
most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood
lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was
me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family
against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe
against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, 'The
Haj'

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under
100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations
live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they
live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos.
There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious
facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the
community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the
Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with
death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and
extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But
their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists,
Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's
population by the end of this century.

The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat

TRAINING: HINTS ON BEGGING WE MAY NEED IT IN THE FUTURE, THE CAT'S GOT THE SYSTEM WORKED OUT

HI ALL

THIS ARTICLE IS ABOUT AMERICA BUT AS YOU KNOW IT APPLIES TO AUSTRALIA AS WELL ON A SMALL SCALE,

Someone please tell me what is wrong with
all the people that run this country!!!!!!
We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.,???????????
In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey .. And now Pakistan ....home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour
Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries! We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc,etc.

YET.....................
They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries. Sad isn't it?

How long before we see this in Australia.

The US administration has temporarily halted payments to the retirement and federal pension accounts of workers after the government hit its debt limit.

The American administration has also begun to dip into federal worker pension funds after reaching the United States' $14.3 trillion debt ceiling on Monday.

The latest development prompted the government to start borrowing from pensioners, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner informed US Congress, DPA reported.

Geithner sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, warning that the government can move money around for about 11 weeks but if a new debt ceiling is not agreed to by August 2, the US government could effectively default on its obligations to its creditors.

He also warned of “catastrophic economic consequences for citizens.”

"We're trying to figure out what to do about the budget. The situation creates an urgency to do something to the budget in order to get that debt ceiling increased. Government pensions or agriculture will probably see a lot of changes, to make us able to lift that debt ceiling," said Maya McGuineas, the head of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

US President Barack Obama has warned of a double dip recession if his administration is not allowed to keep borrowing, but a Gallup public opinion poll indicates that nearly half of those polled oppose raising the national debt ceiling.

The new poll shows 47% of Americans do not want the debt ceiling raised.

If Congress fails to raise the debt ceiling by August 2, it would force the administration to choose between paying creditors or paying for military operations, social security and Medicare payments, and other commitments.

More than $33 billion was erased from the value of the Australian share market today, marking the largest one-day percentage fall in a year on renewed concerns about a world economic slowdown.

At the close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 106.9 points, or 2.3 per cent, at 4600.4, while the broader All Ordinaries index slumped 105.4 points, or 2.2 per cent, at 4683.2.

The size of the retreat is the most since almost 3 per cent was lopped off the market's value on June 7, 2010.

"A lot of the drive is coming from overseas markets at the moment," revealed CMC Markets sales trader Ben Taylor, adding that despite better than forecasted retail sales figures for Australia in April, released earlier today, investors were focused on a slowdown in global economic growth.

"There was a shocking set of (manufacturing) PMI data (purchasing managers' index, used to measure strength in the sector) for the UK, China and euro zone," added Taylor "Then US markets fell last night... Moody's downgrade of Greek debt put the nail in the coffin."

U.S. stocks dived after U.S. manufacturing had its biggest fall since September 2009 in May, and an independent report showed private-sector employers added a paltry 38,000 jobs in May, the smallest since September and well below an expected 175,000 jobs.

"The one thing the U.S couldn't afford to have fall over was the recovery in the employment situation. That spooked the market and really signalled that we're in some short-term weakness," said Cameron Peacock, a market analyst at IG Markets.

"June's going to be a bit of a write-off. It's probably not going to be until the second half of July that you start to see markets move forward - and that's all dependent on a pick up in economic data," added Peacock "I'd just be sitting on the sidelines over this next 6-8 weeks and wait and see how the dust settles".

Meanwhile Austock Securities senior client adviser Michael Heffernan said there might be a bit of bargain hunting coming in a bit later in the day, with some bellwether stocks starting to look attractive.

"We've got CBA below $50; BHP below $44. This sort of thing can entice investors who are looking for good value."

Sir Winston Churchill 1899

This is amazing. And even more amazing is that this hasn't been published long before now.

CHURCHILL ON ISLAM

Unbelievable, but the speech below was written in 1899! (check Wikipedia - The River War)
I am sending the attached short speech from Winston Churchill, delivered by him in 1899 when he was ayoung soldier and journalist. It probably sets out the current views of many but expressed in the wonderful Churchillian turn of phrase and use of the English language, of which he was a past master. Sir Winston Churchill was, without doubt, one of the greatest men of the late 19th and 20th centuries.
He was a brave young soldier, a brilliant journalist, an extraordinary politician and statesman, a great warleader and Prime Minister, to whom the Western world must be forever in his debt. He was a prophet in his own time. He died on 24 January 1965, at the grand old age of 90 and, after a lifetime of service to his country, and was accorded a State funeral.

HERE IS THE SPEECH:
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.
No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at everystep, and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."

Friends,

All most interesting stuff but if I read the stuff correctly from the beginning, it got a bit off topic. The original topic was driver rip-off and here is my rant:

There have been various challenges to speeding fines, such as a lawyer arguing, that there is a well established thing called "instrument error" and 10% is acceptable, especially in the case of police in aeroplanes ("pigs in space") clocking motorists using the white lines. Based on that one state gov. tried to have speed cameras declared legally as "scientific instruments", which would exempt them legally from challenges. What a lot of b...........!

My wife towed me thru a yellow and then a red light and went to court to challenge the fine as we were towing. We got let off the fine but the court costs were ours and I can't remember if they were even more than the fine!

My daughter waited for a parking spot to be vacated and was fined for double-parking by an automated parking camera in a well-known Melbourne suburb, can't remember which one.

Judging by the millions our Premier in WA has just wasted in moving into different premises, the billions wasted with submarines and helicopters I now know govs. cannot manage our money properly and overspend to bug..... and need to borrow like the PIGS.

Hi Dom

I originally started the thread to highlight the parasitic actions of all levels of government and commercial systems we are subjected to also the incompetence of the government at home and abroad when using funds from citizens to interfere with other non related systems and problems. So your entry also shows the problem we as private citizens have to get justice from the parasitic system.

Hi All

The following article is about america, but the same applies to Australia a couple of years on when our Chinese commercial lords pull the pin on Australia, The politicians are too stupid to recognize what is happening and to hypocritical to do anything even if they do see it so we need to be alert to our own salvation.

50 Things Everyone Should Know About The Collapse Of The Economy

Right now, we are witnessing a truly historic collapse of the economy, and yet most Americans do not understand what is going on. One of the biggest reasons why the American people do not understand what is happening to the economy is because our politicians and the mainstream media are not telling the truth.

Barack Obama and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke keep repeating the phrase "economic recovery"over and over, and this is really confusing for most Americans because things sure don't seem to be getting much better where they live.

There are millions upon millions of Americans that are sitting at home on their couches right now wondering why they lost their jobs and why nobody will hire them. Millions of others are wondering why the only jobs they can get are jobs that a high school student could do.

Families all across America are wondering why it seems like their wages never go up but the price of food and the price of gas continue to skyrocket. We are facing some very serious long-term economic problems in this country, and we need to educate the American people about why the collapse of the economy is happening. If the American people don't understand why they are losing their jobs, why they are losing their homes and why they are drowning in debt then they are going to keep on doing all of the same things that they have been doing. They will also keep sending the same idiot politicians back to Washington to represent us. There are some fundamental things about the economy that every American should know. The American people need to be shocked out of their entertainment-induced stupor long enough to understand what is really going on and what needs to be done to solve our nightmarish economic problems. If we do not wake up enough Americans in time, the economic collapse that is coming could tear this nation to shreds.

The U.S. economy was once the greatest economic machine in modern world history. It was truly a wonder to behold. It worked so well that entire generations of Americans came to believe that America would enjoy boundless prosperity indefinitely.

But sadly, prosperity is not guaranteed for any nation. Over the past several decades, some very alarming long-term economic trends have developed that are absolutely destroying the economy. If dramatic changes are not made soon, a complete and total economic collapse will be unavoidable.

Unfortunately, the American people will never agree to fundamental changes to our economic and financial systems unless they are fully educated about what is causing our problems. We have turned our backs on the principles of our forefathers and the principles of those that founded this nation. We have rejected the ancient wisdom that was handed down to us.

It has been said that those that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind.

We are about to experience the consequences of decades of really bad decisions.

Hopefully we can get the American people to wake up.

The following are 50 things that every American should know about the
collapse of the economy....

#1 Do you remember how much was made of the "Misery Index" during the presidency of Jimmy Carter? At that time, the "Misery Index" was constantly making headlines in newspapers all across the country.

Well, according to John Williams of Shadow Government Statistics, if we calculated unemployment and inflation the same way that we did back during the Carter administration, then the Misery Index today would actually be higher than at any point during the presidency of Jimmy Carter.

#2 According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average of about 5 million Americans were being hired every single month during 2006. Today, an average of about 3.5 million Americans are being hired every single month.

#3 According to the Wall Street Journal, there are 5.5 million Americans that are currently unemployed and yet are not receiving unemployment benefits.

#4 All over America, state and local governments are selling off buildings just to pay the bills. Investors can now buy up government-owned power plants, prisons and municipal buildings from coast to coast. For example, the mayor of Newark, New Jersey recently sold off 16 government buildings (including the police and fire headquarters) just to pay some bills.

#5 When Americans think of "government debt", most of them only think of the federal government, but it is not just the federal government that has a massive debt problem. State and local government debt has reached an all-time high of 22 percent of U.S. GDP.

#6 If you can believe it, one out of every seven Americans has at least 10 credit cards.

#7 Credit card usage in the United States is on the increase once again. During the month of March, revolving consumer credit jumped 2.9%. Sadly, it looks like Americans have not learned their lessons about the dangers of credit card debt.

#8 Last year, Social Security ran a deficit for the first time since 1983, and the "Social Security deficits" in future years are projected to be absolutely horrific.

#9 The U.S. government now says that the Medicare trust fund will run out five years faster than they were projecting just last year.

#10 Right now we are watching what could potentially be the worst Mississippi River flood ever recorded play out right in front of our eyes. One agricultural economist at Mississippi State University believes that this disaster could do 2 billion dollars of damage just to farms alone.

#11 The "tornadoes of 2011" that we just saw in the southeast United States are being called the worst natural disaster that the U.S. has seen since Hurricane Katrina. It has been estimated that up to 25 percent of all of the poultry houses in Alabama were either significantly damaged or destroyed. It is also believed that millions of birds were killed.

#12 The economic effects of the BP oil spill just seem to go on and on and on. The number of very sick fish in the Gulf of Mexico is really starting to alarm scientists. The following is how one local newspaper recently described the situation....

Scientists are alarmed by the discovery of unusual numbers of fish in the Gulf of Mexico and inland waterways with skin lesions, fin rot, spots, liver blood clots and other health problems.

#13 The number of "low income jobs" in the U.S. has risen steadily over the past 30 years and they now account for 41 percent of all jobs in the United States.

#14 All over America, hospitals that care for the poor and needy are so overwhelmed and are so broke that they are being forced to shut down. Recently, a local newspaper in Florida ran an article about two prominent charity hospitals in Illinois that have served the poor for more than 100 years but are now asking for permission to shut down....

Two charity hospitals in Illinois are facing a life-or-death decision. There's not much left of either of them - one in Chicago's south suburbs, the other in impoverished East St. Louis - aside from emergency rooms crowded with patients seeking free care. Now they would like the state's permission to shut down.

#15 The U.S. dollar is in such bad shape that now even Steve Forbes is predicting that the U.S. is "likely" to go back to a gold standard within the next five years.

#16 Most Americans don't realize how much the U.S. dollar has been devalued over the years. An item that cost $20.00 in 1970 would cost you $115.93 today. An item that cost $20.00 in 1913 would cost you $454.36 today.

#17 Over the past 12 months the average price of gasoline in the United States has gone up by about 30%.

#18 U.S. oil companies will bring in about $200 billion in pre-tax profits this year. They will also receive about $4.4 billion in specialized tax breaks from the U.S. government.

#19 It is being projected that for the first time ever, the OPEC nations are going to bring in over a trillion dollars from exporting oil this year. Their biggest customer is the United States.

#20 According to the Pentagon, there are minerals worth over a trillion dollars under the ground in Afghanistan. Now, J.P. Morgan is starting to tap those riches with the help of the U.S. military.

#21 Speaking of J.P. Morgan, most Americans don't realize that they are actually the largest processor of food stamp benefits in the United States. In fact, the more Americans that go on food stamps the more money that J.P. Morgan makes.

#22 When 2007 began, there were about 26 million Americans on food stamps. Today, there are over 44 million on food stamps, and one out of every four American children is on food stamps.

#23 Back in 1965, only one out of every 50 Americans was on Medicaid. Today, one out of every 6 Americans is on Medicaid.

#24 Only 66.8% of American men had a job last year. That was the lowest level that has ever been recorded in all of U.S. history.

#25 The financial system is more vulnerable today than it was back in 2008 before the financial panic. Today, the world financial system has been turned into a giant financial casino where bets are made on just about anything you can possibly imagine, and the major Wall Street banks make a ton of money from this betting system. The system is largely unregulated (the new "Wall Street reform" law has only changed this slightly) and it is totally dominated by the big international banks. The danger from derivatives is so great that Warren Buffet once called them "financial weapons of mass destruction". It is estimated that the "derivatives bubble" is somewhere in the neighborhood of a quadrillion dollars, and once it pops there isn't going to be enough money in the entire world to bail everyone out.

#26 Between December 2000 and December 2010, the United States ran a total trade deficit of 6.1 trillion dollars with the rest of the world, and the U.S. has had a negative trade balance every single year since 1976.

#27 The United States has lost an average of 50,000 manufacturing jobs per month since China joined the World Trade Organization in 2001, and the U.S. trade deficit with China is now 27 times larger than it was back in 1990.

#28 In 2010, the number one U.S. export to China was "scrap and trash".

#29 All over the United States, many of our once great manufacturing cities are being transformed into hellholes. In the city of Detroit today, there are over 33,000 abandoned houses, 70 schools are being permanently closed down, the mayor wants to bulldoze one-fourth of the city and you can literally buy a house for one dollar in the worst areas.

#30 During the first three months of this year, less new homes were sold in the U.S. than in any three month period ever recorded.

#31 New home sales in the United States are now down 80% from the peak in July 2005.

#32 America's real estate crisis just seems to get worse and worse. U.S. home prices have now fallen a whopping 33% from where they were at during the peak of the housing bubble.

#33 According to a new report from the AFL-CIO, the average CEO made 343 times more money than the average American did last year.

#34 The European debt crisis could cause a global financial collapse like the one that we saw in 2008 at any time. The world economy is incredibly interconnected today, and the United States would not be immune. A recent IMF report stated the following about the growing sovereign debt crisis in Europe....

Strong policy responses have successfully contained the sovereign debt and financial-sector troubles in the euro area periphery so far. But contagion to the core euro area and then onward to emerging Europe remains a tangible risk.

#35 According to one study, the 50 U.S. state governments are collectively 3.2 trillion dollars short of what they need to meet their pension obligations.

#36 A different study has shown that individual Americans are $6.6 trillion short of what they need to retire comfortably.

#37 The cost of college tuition in the United States has gone up by over 900 percent since 1978.

#38 According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, health care costs accounted for just 9.5% of all personal consumption back in 1980. Today they account for approximately 16.3%.

#39 One study found that approximately 41 percent of working age Americans either have medical bill problems or are currently paying off medical debt.

#40 The combined debt of the major GSEs (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Sallie Mae) has increased from 3.2 trillion in 2008 to 6.4 trillion in 2011. Thanks to our politicians, U.S. taxpayers are standing behind that debt.

#41 The U.S. government is over 14 trillion dollars in debt and the budget deficit for this year is projected to be about 1.5 trillion dollars. However, if the U.S. government was forced to use GAAP accounting principles (like all publicly-traded corporations must), the U.S. government budget deficit would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $4 trillion to $5 trillion each and every year.

#42 Most Americans don't understand that the Federal Reserve and the debt-based monetary system that it runs are at the very heart of our economic problems. All of this debt is absolutely crushing us. The U.S. government spent over 413 billion dollars on interest on the national debt during fiscal 2010, and it is being projected that the
U.S. government will be shelling out 900 billion dollars just in interest on the national debt by the year 2019.

#43 Standard & Poor's has altered its outlook on U.S. government debt from "stable" to "negative" and is warning that the U.S. could soon lose its AAA rating.

#44 In 1980, government transfer payments accounted for just 11.7% of all income. Today, government transfer payments account for 18.4% of all income.

#45 U.S. households are now receiving more income from the U.S. government than they are paying to the government in taxes.

#46 59 percent of all Americans now receive money from the federal government in one form or another.

#47 According to Gallup, 41 percent of Americans believed that the economy was "getting better" at this time last year. Today, that number is at just 27 percent.

#48 The wealthiest 1% of all Americans now own more than a third of all the wealth in the United States.

#49 The poorest 50% of all Americans collectively own just 2.5% of all the wealth in the United States.

#50 The percentage of millionaires in Congress is more than 50 times higher than the percentage of millionaires in the general population.

Thanks, Bob. Very disturbing!

The US had to go off the gold standard after the Vietnam war, which at that time cost the horrible figure of US$45 billion. Now they are involved in two wars and are printing paper, calling it the US dollar but the smart money long time ago placed its money into gold.

Perhaps there is some logic behind the printing presses running hot in the USA. Like Germany after the Versailles treaty of WW I, where war reparations were demanded, they were able to pay them back with worthless paper. The USA can repay China's loans over one trillion bucks with worthless paper.

Some years back our gov. sold tons of gold, which our Gold Council did not like as it depressed the value of gold. Other countries, like Austria also sold gold. Proves how hard it is to predict the future, even for specialists, who make such decisions.

But what Bob has placed here for us is disturbing and means China will loan more money to Greece, etc. and the USA to keep all of them afloat.

Hi Bryan

It is a complete mystery to me how the so called educated people in government can be so stupid and hypocritical, we cannot depend on their flawed thinking as they are basing their assumptions on the whim of commercialism and multinational profit taking and not on benefiting the sheepelle the erected them to the pubic serpant positions, they make stupid laws that persecute people if they do anything with their properties not in line with their flawed thinking on the excuse of increasing green house gases, while they benefit from the export of millions of tonnes of coal and LNG that really does cause huge amounts of pollution. If they where any more stupid they could qualify as a brain damaged chook.

On the food issue I think its time to establish the back yard garden again as was the Australian norm in my childhood, the misguided residents of high rise apartments will have to make do with the processed and poisoned sh*t they now call food and the recycled sewerage they call water. Not to mention Kentucky fried rat and McDonald's dog bergers.

Hi Dom
In actual offshore debt the USA owes around $70 trillion on current estimates with more than half of that to China, they have no hope of ever paying it back so will generate a program to wipe the debt if they can.

We are living in interesting times and are along for the ride they even have the bands playing to distract the masses.

Hi All

This is a bit drawn out but it is what happened, and I must pose the question what would happen to us as non Muslim if we carried on in a manner such as these men did.
I am sure you would know the answer to that.

All the best

Re economy:

Barack Obama said yesterday that he is not worried about a double-dip recession.

The cynic might say:

I do not believe it until the president denies it!

Back to the Muslim religion:

Due to the high birth rate of the followers of the Prophet there will be a huge voting block with political clout in the future and the following decisions will be pushed through in schools and factories:

1. The growing of beards will be permitted.
2. The swimming classes will be need to be separated by gender.
3. The swimming teacher will be of same sex as the pupils.
4. There will be no exams during Ramadan.
5. Canteens will have to provide a separate dish when pork is being served.

France seems to be one of the countries which actively discriminates against Muslims in most walks of life as the percentage of Muslims is about 10% mainly due to the former North African colonies.

Taxation as a means of achieving prosperity is like a man standing inside a bucket trying to lift himself up.

INTERESTING READING BORNE OUT BY OBSERVATION LEAVES QUESTIONS UNANSWERED.

CONTRIBUTED BY ISAIAH

An actual 9.0+ mega-quake would have leveled the whole country of Japan

Consider first the massive impact of an actual 9.0 magnitude earthquake, which would have been about 100 times more powerful than the 6.8 magnitude Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995 that destroyed much of the city of Kobe, located about 12.5 miles from the epicenter, and that killed more than 6,400 people. If the March 11 earthquake in Japan was actually a 9.0, it would have devastated everything within a 1,000-mile radius of the epicenter -- and yet the city of Sendai, for example, which is only about 48 miles from the epicenter, suffered virtually no structural damage whatsoever.

Truth be told, the only areas that suffered any significant damage at all were areas hit by the tsunami, which included the Fukushima nuclear plant. Besides the immense damage that occurred at the tsunami-hit nuclear plant, there was virtually no seismic damage in any other towns or cities near the epicenter that were not hit by the tsunami, which suggests that the earthquake could not have been anywhere close to a 9.0. According to Stone's review, the size of the earthquake that hit off Japan's coast actually registered at only about a 6.67 magnitude, according to some readings, while the tsunami that ensued was the equivalent of what would have occurred during an actual 9.0.

Cities and towns hit by tsunami appeared strangely unaware that it was even coming

Another factor to consider is that the towns and cities hit by the tsunami appeared to be largely unaware that it was even coming until moments before it arrived. If a 9.0 earthquake had actually hit as claimed, these areas would have not only experienced monumental destruction beforehand, but people living in them would have already been evacuating the area between when the earthquake supposedly hit, and roughly 40 minutes later when the tsunami actually arrived.

Various video clips and photos in towns and cities about to be hit by the approaching tsunami reveal that business was largely taking place a usual just minutes before it hit. People are shown walking around, buildings are intact, and little appears to be out of place, despite the fact that a mega-quake has supposedly just occurred. Take a look for yourself at Stone's information, as well as photos and videos captured, and think to yourself whether or not the official story makes sense in light of what actually took place (http://www.abeldanger.net/2011/05/j...).

The damage at Fukushima, and particularly at non-operational Reactor 4, could not have occurred simply from flooding or an earthquake

According to Stone's analysis, the damage that took place at the Fukushima nuclear facility could not have been the result of just flooding or even a 9.0 earthquake, assuming that one actually occurred. High-resolution aerial images of the damaged plant taken on March 24 show not only a completely missing Reactor 3, despite ongoing reports that it was still there, but also a completely demolished Reactor 4.

Remember the massive explosion that took place at Reactor 3 just a few days after the tsunami hit? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw2A...) Blamed on hydrogen buildup, this disastrous event could not have occurred as a result of damage caused by the earthquake or tsunami because a special emergency hydrogen stack designed specifically to deal with hydrogen buildup had been installed at Fukushima following the disastrous Three Mile Island accident. This special hydrogen stack does not require electricity to run, so it was fully operational during the time of the explosion and would have mitigated any hydrogen buildup.

And what about the mysterious Reactor 4 explosion, which occurred despite the fact that the reactor had been de-fueled, and was allegedly non-operational? Even in a worst-case scenario where its fuel rods completely melt down, the type of explosion that would follow would not be capable of literally disintegrating Reactor 4's thick, concrete walls, which is what actually occurred. And Reactor 4 was so heavily damaged by this explosion that it was expected to literally collapse.

So what caused these massive explosions in Reactors 3 and 4 to occur? According to Stone, nuclear weaponry was used to forcibly demolish these structures. Magna BSP, a security firm, allegedly installed massive "security cameras" inside the reactors prior to the disaster. These cameras weighed over 1,000 pounds, and look oddly similar to uranium gun-type nuclear bombs (http://www.jimstonefreelance.com/co...).

When you put two and two together, it appears as though nuclear weapons disguised as security cameras may have been used to blow up Fukushima's reactors. Perhaps this explains the reason for the information blackout on Reactor 4 that occurred in the days following the disaster (http://www.naturalnews.com/031758_F...).

Add to the mix a nuclear-induced tsnuami and corresponding earthquake, and you have the perfect scapegoat for deliberately targeting a nuclear facility and blaming it on natural causes.

A critical analysis of the facts actually makes the official story look like a conspiracy theory

Before dismissing this information as just another wacky conspiracy theory, take the time to review Stone's analysis, and think critically about the basic laws of physics in light of the information we have been told by the media. Would a real 9.0 earthquake have left nearby cities that were not hit by the tsunami undamaged? Why did the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) withhold crucial information about Reactor 4 for so long? And why did such massive damage occur from supposed explosions that, in reality, could not have physically caused them?

These and other questions raise doubt about the official story concerning the Japan earthquake and tsunami. Of course, the reasons why anyone would inflict this type of disaster on purpose is a different subject entirely, but that the disaster appears to have been deliberately caused is a possibility that every critical-thinking person would do best to consider.

The stage is being set for a follow the leader approach to refinancing student debt, be aware and protect your children from corrupt governments, the cash grab is at hand.

Bob

We also recently commented on how the US (and Australasian)college system draws people into large debts (Debtucation) and how student debt is now larger than credit card debt in the US. It is the US Government itself that has made college education so expensive by offering student loans to anyone who can fog a mirror but again they have shown their intentions by making student loan debt the only debt which can not be forgiven. A 2005 decree from the Bush Administration stated that student loan debt could not be dissolved through bankruptcy proceedings. The only other scenario where this “no-escape” clause exists is debt from criminal acts and debt from fraud. In other words, student loan debt is seen, by the US Government, as being similar to proceeds from crime!

(The crime is the government taking advantage of people trying to better themselves without knowledge of the system they are jumping into)

What will this mean with more young Americans (Australian)in student loan debt than any other time? It's anyones guess but it would not be out of the realm of possibility to force students who can not pay off their debt into the military to repay their debt.
And with the US military with 800 military bases worldwide with US military personnel in 156 countries and US Military bases in 63 countries and currently occupying or attacking Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and with other drone operations in places like Yemen and Pakistan, the US is all but ensuring that it is screwing around in enough places to eventually draw in one of the big boys. Russia, China or Iran.
And, hey, we Gotta Support the Troops, right? (Cheap impressed labor)

US Government Eyeing Pensions and Retirement Funds
On the other end of the spectrum, seniors and those in retirement, the US Government recently made it very obvious that funds held in retirement accounts are going to be the first to be taken when times get tough.
In the recent scuffle over raising the debt ceiling, the US Government was short of some funds after reaching the United States' $14.3 trillion debt ceiling last Monday. Where was the very first place the US Government went to find new sources of funds? Last week they dipped into state pension funds in order to make payments.
It is no great leap to think that as things worsen in the US Government's financial situation, which is all but guaranteed, that the first thing that will be nationalized will be all tax sheltered retirement accounts. After all, we all have to do our part to pay for the debts of the Government, right?

(Wait for it showing in an Australia near you)
