Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The board is fully tested and works well. 40-pin TFT and SPI TFT all plug directly and work properly. The USB console using the PIC16F1455 also works very well. The wiring to use the PIC16F1455 to program the MX170 needs changing to match the latest code from Jean (Microblocks). I'll incorporate this change into the 64-pin version which I will send for fabrication in the next few days.

The shield is a general purpose Arduino I/O shield I got ages ago. Looking on ebay I can't quickly find an equivalent.

I'm currently playing using a SSD1963 with the RD pin enabled to allow reading of the graphics memory to allow read/modify/write type operations

For what its worth; I run my backlights at PWM 1000 to eliminate any flicker. This can be reduced to around 100 but then I noticed that some TFTs then flicker slightly at this frequency!! (and I am really sensitive to this)

The other thing to note is that if you are making a 'video' of your products, then the lower frequencies sometimes get picked up by the electronics in the camera device which then make for a 'poor' video

Thanks WW
I am playing with one of Matherps boards and found that it all worked at 500hz OK.
I will keep playing.

If you are using windows XP then you will need to have a driver .inf file with the right PID/VID information.
If you see a yellow triangle next to the device then you need to load the driver that is in this zip file.
It is just a standard driver from Microchip but then with the right USB device identifiers so that it can be found by Windows XP.

Microblocks. Build with logic.
