Good one Phil, I love it !!

I too am a big BTTF fan. Was that 1.2 gigawatts for one trip through time ??
How much power does it take to make simultaneous time travel to single destinations at different dates ?? Is Mr. Fusion big enough for that ??

Zonker, order two more of Grogs boards for me, I'll pay you next time I'm over there.

@Zonker

Don't know about the E-100, it just looks like a nice prototyping board for DIP stuff. Give me a call when you get home (before you order).

I'll take two, too. I don't think the 20 initially available are going to last long.

Yahoo2 - I have to kinda agree in some ways, however, we can design and make any PCB we want - some people cannot, and this was Phil23's point, and I thought: "Fair enough." so that was where these boards came from - Phil23's idea.

That EXACTLY what it is.
Nothing more, nothing less - may not be of any use to you - they will appeal to those who don't build large things, but also don't have any PCB software or etching systems in place for home-bake boards.

Yes. For anyone else reading this, you can also pay for your boards right now if you like using my standard PayPal sales email address, that being sales-at-rictech-dot-nz.

I did not want to put the exact email up here, or I thought that forum-crawling vermin software might pick up on it. If anyone is in any doubt, PM me and I will send it to you there.

Anyone who wants one this way, please put a little note in the payment saying what your forum name is, so I can cross you off the list.

EDIT: @ f1fco - I have ordered some full-size SD card holders(spring-loaded ones), and have started initial layout of a small card carrier board. You can get extremely cheap SD card carrier modules on eBay(designed for Arduino use), but they won't match the CON10 pinout, and they don't have any mounting holes. My one will use brackets to mount the unit flush with the front panel, and has provision for a "Busy" LED if you want to fit one.

Currently, 18 of the 25 boards are taken, so there are 7 left. I am surprised by how quick they have been grabbed up, frankly, as Phil23 had to talk me into making these boards in some respects, so I need to tip my hat to him here - he was right - people do want prototyping boards.

I will order 50 next time and I will put them up on the website in time for the batch of 50 arriving here, so the forum can consider these a special small order just for the forums. Edited by Grogster 2016-08-10

Payments received from Phil23, Bigfix and Bill7300, and you are in the spreadsheet for dispatch as soon as the boards arrive here.

Current progress of the boards is:

it wasn't any criticism, just an attempt a humour. I am with Phil all the way, some of my simple prototypes spend 12 months in the field before we think about tidying things up and some are a one off so it is not worth spending the time designing a pcb. Some of my veroboard hacks can look very agricultural

I will probably be hitting you up for a few bits and pieces early next year, including a couple of these, once my current projects are finished.
cheers yahoo

I Think making things up as we go works for many of us.

Take the board in the heat pump I'm converting.

It started with an MX170, 7 resistors & caps, a vReg & 5 headers for the thermistors.
Only other connection was for an ESP8266 on the console.

Then another header was added to connect a HC-12 to Com1, so others could poll it for data.

Then added a water flow sensor;
A LED to indicate it was still running.

Then decided another LED was required for Coms Req confirmation.

No fixed plan from the start, but it's been easy enough to keep adding to that board.

Cheers.

@ yahoo2 - My apologies if I misinterpreted you. I also did not think you were being critical, more just sarcastic. But sarcasm can be very funny used correctly!

"Oh yeah, I'm too sarcastic for my own good."

Boards have been sent, so the web-progress says - that was very fast - two days to produce. Impressive. DHL shipping, so should be here in a couple more days.

UPDATE: Payments received from Zonker and Lou. Boards reserved = 20, Boards remaining = 5. I will be getting more, so if anyone misses out on this prototype run, don't dispair - I will be getting more soon. I will update this thread when the boards arrive, and when I send them off to the members.

I am actually making a something similar (but smaller) one of my own with an integrated USB/Serial but this is very universal, so i would like to have two.
I'll have to stock upon some more female-female wires. :)

I think i have your paypal address but could you pm/email it to me just to be sure?

Grogs,
Any thoughts of placing a couple of 8 pin soic pads in the 30 to 38 region to take a couple of surface mount chips with leads out to existing holes?
Panky.
... almost all of the Maximites, the MicromMites, the MM Extremes, the ArmMites, the PicoMite and loving it!

Probably going beyond the intended concept really.

Just had a quick look & there's a huge variety of SOIC adaptor boards available on ebay, lucky if any are worth more than a buck.

Cheers
