Hi Glenn

I found it very interesting how the big increases are in the northern hemisphere and the next year the residual level increases world wide as the gas spreads south, even so it means a percentile increase of .0014% over the term, a very small amount in relation to the static level of CO2.

The earth will judge mankind, and mankind will be found wanting for their decedent use of natural resources in such a short term, will it be water world or Sahara dessert only time will tell but the species will be reduced to balance one way or the other.

This commercial system reminds me of a sharks feeding frenzy, mindless and violent until they turn on one another.

All the best

A SOLUTION FOUND FOR OUR POLITICAL WOES, DONATE CUT ONIONS TO PARLIAMENT FOR THEIR CANTEEN.

ONIONS ::: PLEASE READ TO THE END: IMPORTANT

In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that
visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu.
Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.

The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very
healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different
the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the
rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't
believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under
the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu
virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping
the family healthy.
Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that several
years ago many of her employees were coming down with the flu and so were
many of her customers. The next year she placed several bowls with onions
around in her shop. To her surprise, none of her staff got sick. It must
work.. Try it and see what happens. We did it last year and we never got the flu.

Now there is a P. S. to this for I sent it to a friend in Oregon who
regularly contributes material to me on health issues. She replied with this
most interesting experience about onions:

Thanks for the reminder. I don't know about the farmers story.. but, I do
know that I contacted pneumonia and needless to say I was very ill.. I came
across an article that said to cut both ends off an onion put it into an
empty jar...placing the jar next to the sick patient at night. It said the
onion would be black in the morning from the germs.. sure enough it happened
just like that.. the onion was a mess and I began to feel better.

Another thing I read in the article was that onions and garlic placed around
the room saved many from the black plague years ago. They have powerful
antibacterial, antiseptic properties.

This is the other note.

Lots of times when we have stomach problems we don't know what to blame.
Maybe it's the onions that are to blame. Onions absorb bacteria is the
reason they are so good at preventing us from getting colds and flu's and is
the very reason we shouldn't eat an onion that has been sitting for a time
after it has been cut open.

LEFT OVER ONIONS ARE POISONOUS

I had the wonderful privilege of touring Mullins Food Products, Makers of
mayonnaise.. Mullins is huge, and is owned by 11 brothers and sisters in the
Mullins family. My friend, Jeanne, is the CEO.

Questions about food poisoning came up, and I wanted to share what I learned
from a chemist.

The guy who gave us our tour is named Ed. He's one of the brothers Ed is a
chemistry expert and is involved in developing most of the sauce formula.
He's even developed sauce formula for McDonald's.

Keep in mind that Ed is a food chemistry whiz. During the tour, someone
asked if we really needed to worry about mayonnaise. People are always
worried that mayonnaise will spoil. Ed's answer will surprise you. Ed said
that all commercially- made Mayo is completely safe.

"It doesn't even have to be refrigerated. No harm in refrigerating it, but
it's not really necessary." He explained that the pH in mayonnaise is set at
a point that bacteria could not survive in that environment. He then talked
about the quaint essential picnic, with the bowl of potato salad sitting on
the table and how everyone blames the mayonnaise when someone gets sick.

Ed says that! when food poisoning is reported, the first thing the officials
look for is when the 'victim' last ate ONIONS and where those onions came
from (in the potato salad?). Ed says it's not the mayonnaise (as long as
it's not homemade Mayo) that spoils in the outdoors. It's probably the
onions, and if not the onions, it's the POTATOES.

He explained, onions are a huge magnet for bacteria, especially uncooked
onions. You should never plan to keep a portion of a sliced onion.. He says
it's not even safe if you put it in a zip-lock bag and put it in your
refrigerator.

It's already contaminated enough just by being cut open and out for a bit,
that it can be a danger to you (and doubly watch out for those onions you
put in your hotdogs at the baseball park!) Ed says if you take the leftover onion and cook it like crazy you'! ll probably be okay, but if you slice that leftover onion and put on your sandwich, you're asking for trouble. Both the onions and the moist potato in a potato salad, will attract and grow bacteria faster than any commercial mayonnaise will even begin to break down.

Also, dogs should never eat onions. Their stomachs cannot metabolize onions.

Please remember it is dangerous to cut an onion and try to use it to cook
the next day, it becomes highly poisonous for even a single night and
creates toxic bacteria which may cause adverse stomach infections because of excess bile secretions and even food poisoning.

looks like i need to change!(the way i eat onions)

another scary byproduct of mean global temperature increase is the melting of the permafrost in the arctic,
and as a result the release of massive amounts of methane gas.
it's five times as powerful a green house gas as co2
this could seriously kick everyone's butt.
on the bright side, the top two thirds of my country, canada, will thaw out.
the tree line(the point at which trees can not grow) is already moving north, about 40 miles so far.
it's kind of creepy to see the executives of big corporations rubbing there hands in glee as a the dream of a northwest passage becomes a reality.
I'm afraid the difficulties that climate change will bring are beyond the scope of capitalism,

Hi Electrondady1

The Methane gas subject has only been skimmed over as they haven't worked out a tax for that yet, and as you say the greenhouse effect from methane is far more pronounced, I really feel we are in a new cycle of climate world wide, and we are yet to see drastic changes in climate along with social and economic changes as well.

It has all happened before long in the past as the fossil records tell us, so humans have survived past events and will survive the coming event with a thinning out of the population no doubt until things are back into a natural balance. We live in interesting times with lots of potential to develop our own survival strategy that weren't there in past cycles. Potential for heating and cooling have been developed that will moderate for the well equipped, but spell doom for the unprepared.

All the best

We live in interesting times

that much is certainly true.
one thing that gives me hope is this internet.
the ability to chat and share our thoughts and feelings with people from around the globe is new and powerful.
we only need to witness events in the middle east and north Africa to see the initial changes taking place.

i took part in a protest last year to stop the local county government from building a land fill(garbage dump)over the Aliston aquifer.
it contains the cleanest water in the world.
the people won that fight.
i learned a lot from the process.
if the people don't set the agenda for government then the corporations and other vested interests will.

Comments from the other side of the climate change forum.

It's "bye-bye Australia" if a price on carbon is introduced, British climate change sceptic Lord Christopher Monckton says.

During a colourful presentation in Sydney on Thursday, Lord Monckton had a message for Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

"Julia, baby, you're not going to introduce a carbon tax, because if you do, it's bye-bye Australia," he said to roars of approval from the few hundred paying audience members.

Lord Monckton said he had come back to Australia to give his "right of reply" to former prime minister Kevin Rudd, who he said "made some very rude remarks about me".

"But Rudd, baby, you're gone," he said.

And Ms Gillard - who Lord Monckton said has also made some rude remarks - should watch her step.

"Julia, darling, I'd be very careful before you do that again. Look what happened to the former prime minister.

"It may happen to you."

Lord Monckton declined to devote much attention to climate change adviser Professor Ross Garnaut, "bless his cotton socks", but he derided the $180,000 salary Tim Flannery is receiving as chairman of the government's new Climate Commission.

Nor did the ABC escape Lord Monckton's scorn after his stormy interview with Sydney radio presenter Adam Spencer on Thursday morning.

Referring to the ABC as a "high-heeled woolly, weirdy, beardy set" that is largely funded by the taxpayer, Lord Monckton told the audience: "I think you ought to stop paying."

Lord Monckton ended the presentation with a rousing set of questions to the audience, which gave him a standing ovation.

"Do we want a carbon tax? Do we need a carbon tax?"

The rousing answer was "No".

Speaking to reporters after the presentation, Lord Monckton was more forgiving towards the ABC, which he said had apologised to him for that morning's episode.

In an unprecedented move, Spencer hung up on his guest before calling back to resume the heated interview.

"It doesn't reflect very well on the ABC," Lord Monckton said.

"But what does reflect well on them is that afterwards, both the producer apologised and then (Spencer) rang and apologised in person and I think the appropriate thing for me to do in the those circumstances is to forgive them all and god bless the ABC."

Lord Monckton maintained that introducing a price on carbon would be "economic suicide" for Australia.

"A nation which utterly forgets to try to make sure that what it offers to the world is at least within shouting distance of the price of what others are offering... will soon go out of business and as a nation die and fade away," he said.

"This could be the end of an independent Australia. You may think I'm overstating this, but just sit and watch."

We sit open mouthed as we are fed rubbish from both sides of the fence, it was announced last night on the ABC news that we are the largest supplier of fossil fuel, contributing to the CO2 pollution. What a tax bonanza for the government in the so called wealth redistribution system they have organized, as if this will reduce pollution.

The truth is if we stop selling coal someone else will step in and supply the need and Australia will loose it's life line in the present financial sinking of the world fiscal systems.

The answer is to stop but the world is addicted to the use of coal and other forms of fossil energy and this addiction will not be resolved until the supply runs out.

As pointed out by electrodady the corporations set the agenda as the sheepel cannot.

In case you guys had any doubts about the land of the brave and the free.

an interesting extract

Meanwhile, on the Internet, a site called "Economic Collapse" anticipated the high spirits of Independence Day with a list of 20 "not-so-great categories" in which the US really is Numero Uno. Its author first assures us of his loyalty:

I love the United States. I love the American people.

Then, he opens fire:

America is like an aging, bloated rock star that has become addicted to a dozen different drugs. America is a shadow of its former self and it desperately needs to wake up before it plunges into oblivion.

If you do not believe that America is in bad shape, just read the list below. The following are 20 not so good categories that the United States leads the world in....

#1 The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world and the largest total prison population on the entire globe.

#2 According to NationMaster.com, the United States has the highest percentage of obese people in the world.

#3 The United States has the highest divorce rate on the globe by a wide margin.

#4 The United States is tied with the UK for the most hours of television watched per person each week.

#5 The United States has the highest rate of illegal drug use on the entire planet.

#6 There are more car thefts in the United States each year than anywhere else in the world by far.

#7 There are more reported rapes in the United States each year than anywhere else in the world.

#8 There are more reported murders in the United States each year than anywhere else in the world.

#9 There are more total crimes in the United States each year than anywhere else in the world.

#10 The United States also has more police officers than anywhere else in the world.

#11 The United States spends much more on health care as a percentage of GDP than any other nation on the face of the earth.

#12 The United States has more people on pharmaceutical drugs than any other country on the planet.

#13 The percentage of women taking antidepressants in America is higher than in any other country in the world.

#14 Americans have more student loan debt than anyone else in the world.

#15 More pornography is created in the United States than anywhere else on the entire globe. 89 percent is made in the USA and only 11 percent is made in the rest of the world.

#16 The United States has the largest trade deficit in the world every single year. Between December 2000 and December 2010, the United States ran a total trade deficit of 6.1 trillion dollars with the rest of the world, and the US has had a negative trade balance every single year since 1976.

#17 The United States spends 7 times more on the military than any other nation on the planet does. In fact, US military spending is greater than the military spending of China, Russia, Japan, India, and the rest of NATO combined.

#18 The United States has far more foreign military bases than any other country does.

#19 The United States has the most complicated tax system in the entire world.

#20 The US has accumulated the biggest national debt that the world has ever seen and it is rapidly getting worse. Right now, US government debt is expanding at a rate of $40,000 per second.
The truth is that America has changed. Most of us don't even say hello to our neighbors anymore.

The United States was once the most blessed nation on the face of the earth, but now we are literally falling to pieces.

Does anyone have any ideas about why this could be happening?

Well, yes. We do have some ideas. But don't think for a minute that we're going to give you earnest advice on how to make the country a better place. There are approximately a million civil servants who are paid to do that! You can see for yourself what a good job they have done.

No, we're just going to explain how America became a country of fat poor people who - when they're not watching TV - are murdering and raping their fellow citizens.

The big problem is Australia is a good follower and tends to take on the trendy and fashionable ways of the USA

Pity help us

THE ROLE OF CENTRAL BANKS AND HOW THEY MANIPULATE ECONOMIES TO ACHIEVE FINANCIAL ENDS AT TE DETRIMENT OF THE GENERAL POPULOUS.

Central Bank, World Tyranny, Fixed Markets - by Henry Makow - Posted at AH, July 5, 2011
"The Central Bank is the primary monopoly on which all our monopoly power depends. The occult power of the Central Bank to create money out of nothing is the fountainhead that fuels our far-flung financial and political empire." Excerpt from "The Occult Technology of Power," a manual used to instruct an Illuminati heir published in 1974.

In its pristine form a Central Bank is a private monopoly of a nation's money and credit issuance supported by the coercive power of the state. That the Central Bank be directly in our hands is vital until our new order is firmly established throughout the governmental, business, intellectual and political spheres of society.

After our order is consolidated, formal nationalization of the Central Bank with great fanfare is usually advisable in order to dispel any lingering suspicion that it is operated for private gain.

Of course only loyal agents of the dynasty are allowed to obtain high offices in the Bank and our power remains intact. Obvious private monopolies are always the targets of sharp reformist agitators. Only the most paranoid, however, can see through the public facade to the private monopoly of the nationalized or quasi-nationalized Central Bank.

The Central Bank is the primary monopoly on which all our monopoly power depends. The occult power of the Central Bank to create money out of nothing is the fountainhead that fuels our far-flung financial and political empire. I will make a quick survey of a few of the ways this secret money power is brought to bear.

Basically, the power of our Central Bank flows from its control over the points of entry into the economy of new, inflationary money which it creates out of thin air. Ordinarily, bills of exchange, acceptances, private bonds, government bonds and other credit instruments are purchased by the Central Bank through specially privileged dealers in order to put the new money, often only checking accounting entries, into circulation.

The dealers are allowed a large profit since they are fronts operated by our agents. Our purchase of government securities pleases the government, as our purchase of private debt pleases private debtors. As a quid pro quo to assure "good management" our agents are given directorships, managerial posts, and offices in the corporations and government's so benefited.

As the addiction to the narcotic of inflationary easy credit grows and grows we demand more and more control of our dependent entourage of governments and corporations. When we finally end the easy credit to "combat inflation," the enterprises and governments either fall directly into our hands, bankrupt, or are rescued at the price of total control.

Also, we ruling bankers control the flow of money in the economy through the wide authority of the Central Bank to license, audit, and regulate private banks. Banks that loan to interests outside the loyal entourage are "audited" by the Central Bank and found to be dangerously overextended. Just a hint of insolvency from the respected Central Bank authorities is enough to cause a run on the disobedient bank or at least dry up its vital lines of credit. Soon the banking establishment learns to follow the hints and nods of your father's agents at the Central Bank automatically.

Further, the periodic cycles of easy money and tight money that we initiate through our control of the Central Bank cause corresponding fluctuations in all markets. Our inner circle knows in advance the timing of these cycles and, therefore reaps windfall profits by speculating in commodity, stock, currency, gold, and bond markets.

Monopolistic stock and commodity Exchanges are a vital adjunct to our power made possible by our Central Bank power. We do not allow a fair auction market to exist, but make a great show of "tough" government regulation to create a false sense of confidence among small investors.

With the aid of our regulatory charade and financial power we are able to maintain Exchanges tailored to our entourage's need to manipulate stock prices at the expense of independent investors. Our privileged specialists on the floors of our Exchanges, aided by the propaganda of our financial press and brokerage houses, continually play on naivete and greed to drain the savings of the unwary into our coffers.

The stock, commodities, and securities held in trading accounts by the Exchange and brokerage houses provides us with a clout far beyond our own actual holdings with which we can manipulate prices and win proxy fights for corporate takeovers. Little danger to our lucrative racket exists from public-spirited regulation. Our manipulations are so complex that only the most brilliant experts could comprehend them.

To most economists our Exchange operations appear to be helpful efforts to "stabilize" the market. We ruling bankers, if able to keep peace among ourselves, become richer and richer as time passes without the annoyance of exerting productive effort of benefit to others.

---
Makow Comment: This document is authentic in my opinion, and very gratifying since it blames central bankers for most of humanity's problems, a view I have held since 2002.[Ron: As usual Henry Makow fails to join the dots and explain that the nebulous term "central bankers" actually means a small cabal of Jewish banksters loosely identified as "the Rothschilds" and the "Rockefeller Cartel" who use their Talmudist co-religionists as a Fifth Column throughout the world to maintain their dominance and control. Failure to actually identify the specific group actively enslaving and destroying humanity seems to be a key feature of Henry Makow's somewhat ambiguous exposures.].

THIS WAS FORWARDED TO ME, BUT UNDERSCORES MY FEELINGS EXACTLY. WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMERICA?
ONE WORD:
CONGRESS

Entitlement my ass, I paid cash for my social security insurance! Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout! Congressional benefits, aka: free healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that's welfare, and they have the nerve to call my retirement entitlements.

scroll down...............

What the HELL's wrong? WAKE UP AMERICA !

Tuesday's Daily Bulletin paper, ran two articles on the front page side by side :

1- Calif 's 20 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit

2- The Calif Supreme Court ruling that ILLEGALS can attend college and get benefits. Why don't they just deport them when they arrive to register?

3- Last year they ran an article on the yearly costs to Calif taxpayers from Illegals using hospital emergency rooms for their general health care - At just one hospital the cost to tax payers totaled over 25 million a year.

Someone please tell me what the HELL's wrong with all the people that run this country!

We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.,? In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey . And now Pakistan , home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when its time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc,etc.

YET.....................
They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.

Sad isn't it?
Or…here’s a novel idea…lay off the TSA…HLS..FBI…CIA..or they could take PAY CUTS… its time D.C. takes the cut…after all they are the ones doing the spending of our money without our consent …such as ObamaCare!! Let’s clean house people…  www.republicfortheunitedstates.org

The main worry to Australians is the way we are going down the same path, a lot of the problems mentioned in this article are there foe Australia too, and if thy are not there yet the government is working diligently to bring them on, the USA has its Congress and Australia has Canberra same wolves different time zone.

Over my life time I have seen how Australia goes along with USA admittedly in a smaller way and a few years after USA but still the same trail. America is about to fall on it's nose, the question is how long before we follow that? In my life time I would bet, so we will have opportunity to use our alternate power and lifestyles not to far in the future.

Hi Vasi

Humans are very smart and can calculate the amount of animals or fish that are able to be supported by a given tract of land or water, but when it comes to humans they fall down badly. It isn't that the earth can't support more people it is the commercial and governmental systems that control food and its distribution, in America the amount of food wasted could make a large contribution to feeding the hungry, but because there is a need to make money from it, it cant happen, if any effort to help is mounted corruption in government, and criminal elements want to make money from it, less than 10 % of aid gets to where it is going.

Such a corrupt system is doomed to failier and the natural process of elimination will reduce the population, the problem with this is, the ones that should be eliminated will survive through their corruption and greed and further degenerate the gene and moral pool of humans.

All the best

Yeah I agree I think population growth is one of the biggest problems facing humanity. While climate change can be debated, and relies on a certain amount of "faith" in science, the population growth problem is simple maths. Unless you believe in a flat endless earth, you can understand that at some time in the future we will need to stem population growth.

The problem is no democratic government in the world will have the courage to introduce, or even suggest, a population growth bill. One thing you have to praise the Chinese government for is it could see its growing population was a big problem, and it had the power, as a communist country, to implement change.

Not that I'm suggesting we should embrace communism, far from it, but I do think we need to start talking about population numbers it.

Hi Glenn

The Chinese solution on the face of things seems workable but the maths of that system to, are flawed, as the population ages the imbalance will show up with less young to look after the aged population either monitory or health wise.

For a balanced population there is a need for 2.3 kids per 2 parents to allow for attrition due to health and accidents. The population growth in Australia is less than 1.6 to 2 at the moment, hence a need for immigration as promoted by government.

The problem is in nations without consumerism and no TV, where the birth rate is 4.5 to 2, even with natural attrition it makes 4 to 2 ratio and they cannot feed themselves, the same is happening in the MU***im world as they have many children to many wife's to take over the world, but expect the west to bail them out when the overpopulate and do not have enough food or resources to support themselves.

The Lemming factor is the only answer as Government isn't able to deal with the problem in a socially acceptable way as you say and there needs to be an outside influence to blame such as disease famine drought flood or war, all natural occourances. The balancing of population will come in the near future but with much wailing throughout mankind.

It may be a change in the weather as we are starting to see now, or it may be a collapse of the financial system as we know it, or it may be some form of uncontrolled disease that cant be kept in check by medicine. We will wait and see and hopefully be a bit more prepared than the rest of the population.

All the best

Bob
