Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hmm, I don't think that I am going to convince you but the main issue with multiple code spaces, as you have described, is that it requires a lot more programming, which means more flash used by MMBasic, which in turn means less flash for storing programs and in the MX170 at least, that is a problem.

well, personally, i tend to write small programs, so having just one code space is sufficient for me! my main concern is that the micromite may end up going in a direction where bits of code can be tucked away inside hidden from sight, creating a whole load of other practical/people problems.

i like the simplicity of basic, the fact that a simple listing can contain everything there is to see. in this sense, the micromite - and your development model - is a breath of fresh air

cheers,
rob :-)

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! I'm trying to figure out how many times I have said that since the original beta 150 came out. I'm sure it was quite a few times and now this. Great work Geoff and all involved! It just keeps getting better and better. Arduino be damned!!!! (JK)

Probably not damned or 'replaced' but at least a great 'alternate.'
