No issue with this as it is measuring accelerations which are not affected in the same way as magnetic field. Do look though at some of the available modules on ebay - they seem to have a fair number of passives with the chips so you may have space issues. Kiid has used one of the DOF chips on a PCB so he can probably give the best insight. Personally I would stick with the flash as you probably can't buy the DOF chip for the price of an ebay module
