Another small item for the next VGA manual revision. Page 6 "In monochrome mode the resolution is 640 x 480 however when the colour output is enabled (MODE 1) the pixels are duplicated along both the x and y axis giving a 320 x 240 resolution" Should that be (MODE 2)? |

Thanks, I thought that I had fixed both but somehow forgot. I will have Rev 4 ready in a few days. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

A bit late but I have updated the manual to Rev 4. Just a few trivial updates. Thanks Phil for the corrections. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

Hi Geoff, I'm confused and please forgive me if I'm wrong (again) but the manual at: https://geoffg.net/picomite.html appears to be called "MMBasic Ver 5.07.04 Rev 3". (not Rev 4) Am I downloading the wrong version or has the front page not been updated? Is there any other way of confirming it is the latest? Cheers, Andrew |

The PicoMiteVGA manual is Rev. 4 but the PicoMite manual is dated 16/05/2022 so I think it has not been updated. Most of Peter's recent upgrades have been to the VGA so perhaps there is no need for Rev 4 yet. |

Thanks Phil, I had assumed that Geoff's comment about Rev 4 referred to the non-VGA version but I now see that you (and hence Geoff) were talking about the VGA version. I have the latest non-VGA version so I'm happy. Cheers, Andrew |

Just read Geoff's 'Boot to BASIC computer' article in the latest Silicon Chip. ![]() It reminded me of a thought I had some time ago that the PicoMite VGA has come so far that a board like Peter's could have been announced as the COLOUR MAXIMITE 1.5 which is effectively what it is. Is it too late now? Bill Keep safe. Live long and prosper. |

A small item for the next manual revision. PWM Command page 112 Minimum frequency (Hz) = (Val(mm.info(cpuspeed)) + 1) / 16777216 or ignoring fractions of Hz Minimum frequency (Hz) = (Val(mm.info(cpuspeed)) >> 24) + 1 . Edited 2022-07-24 14:21 by phil99 |

Hello Peter, What are the chances of the PicoMite (VGA) getting support for: MM.INFO(EXISTS f$) MM.INFO(EXISTS FILE f$) MM.INFO(EXISTS DIR f$) ? Best wishes, Tom MMBasic for Linux, Game*Mite, CMM2 Welcome Tape, Creaky old text adventures |

I suspect that, since you described Peter as "kranky" elsewhere, not a lot. ;) You may have to make an alter of SD cards and 1/2W resistors and rotate your PicoMite forty-two times while repeating the magical words "matherp is never kranky". :) Mick Zilog Inside! nascom.info for Nascom & Gemini Preliminary MMBasic docs & my PCB designs |

<shrugs shoulders> There is nothing wrong with being "kranky", I often describe myself as such. He probably has me accurately labeled as "awkward" and/or "difficult", it doesn't mean we don't have a productive working relationship.
