...and they say that IDE is dead....(note the IDE hard-drive lead on Geoff's LCD module!) Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

How and where did you Order The board? From here Did you order the 64 or 100 Pin Version? 100 pin The MM+ Versin is the same for both? It will be when I have finished the 100-pin part. Don't forget to specify that you want the board fitted with a 20MHz crystal. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

That is interesting... on their eBay site they charge $29 + $4 freight (total $33). But using their website the charge is $31.68 with free freight. @atmega8. No you cannot run the current beta on a 100-pin part, you will need a 64-pin chip to use the beta. It will be at least two months before I can finish the 100-pin part. @Geoff eBay charges some fee for listing, that could be why the price is different. Personally I prefer order via ebay. |

Geoff I found the youtube including the sample Pump Control mind blowing. Does the "On Screen Control - Pump control" basic program have a download link? G'Day from Perth |

Away for a week or two and this hits the press. Wow Geoff, as usual :-) For crying out loud, all I wanted to do was flash this blasted LED. |

I was impressed when I watched the video. It wasn't until I started to add the new keyword syntax to MMEdit that the size of the advances really hit home! Now a request/suggestion. Can XMODEM be extended to work with disk files in the same way that it works on the Maximite (but keeping the current actions if no file name is specified)? Jim VK7JH MMedit |

That sounds easy enough, I have added it to the future update list: http://geoffg.net/Downloads/Micromite/MMPlusIssues.txt. Just a reminder to everyone, I am keeping this list up to date with bugs, feature requests, etc. With a little luck I should start work on this list in late August. Can I ask for something to go on the list (based on many observations of 'young' users of the MicroMite). You have incorporated many hardware features with commands that are 'meaningful'. These include: DISTANCE IR KEYPAD LCD SETTIME / GETTIME SERVO There are two more hardware things in the same section of the manual: DS18B20 DHT22 My request is a simple one - can these two commands please be changed to something like: TEMP HUMIDITY Instructing a child to type DS18B20... to read temperature draws lots of comments as to why the command is so 'meaningless' (to a child). TEMP (or TEMPERATURE) is so much more meaningful. For anyone not convinced, should we keep consistency and change DISTANCE to HC-SR04, and LCD to HD44780? ![]() These two changes would greatly help make things easier for the beginner who is just starting to learn coding. Thanks WW |

I think I can back up Phil on this request. Simplicity is the key, and meaningless command names can be really confusing. One more little request from me: with the MX470 version there is enough pins to allow the KEYPAD command with bigger matrix configurations. I would very much like to see it being able to serve a 8x8 matrix. Thanks! http://rittle.org -------------- |

Hi Geoff You are great!! ...Concerning Micromite Plus 100pin...Do You have a first idea for the pins definitions ? Thanks |

Great idea WW, I will add it to the list. No, but most of the pins will keep the same PIC32 data sheet designation. So, for example, the LCD WR signal is on pin 24 which is RB11 and on the 100-pin chip RB11 is on pin 35. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

Another question ...Geoff In my projects I use modules as bluethooth hc-05 and wifi esp8266. Is in your roadmap the creation or integration of library for these hws as simple calls to internal functions? |

I have not experimented with the hc-05 but I did with the esp8266 and it was too unreliable - supporting it would have been a nightmare. Going back to the HC-05, it is a Bluetooth to serial bridge so it can be easily controlled via a COM port - no special support is needed. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |
