Just wanted to wish all BTS members, friends and family a happy new year.

It has been a pleasure reading and being able to answer a few questions in the short time I have joined. I look forward to a great 2018 with all BTS members.

A special thank you to Gizmo "Glenn" for hosting The Backshed Forum, Geoffg "Geoff" for providing a great platform for MicroMite users to enjoy, Matherp "Peter" for your work on the Micromite Extreme, Grogster "Graeme" for putting together some great boards, Whitewizzard "Phil" for making supplies of these designs available to us, TassyJim "Jim" for creating MMEdit, Robert rozee "Robert for GFXTerm, microblocks/bigmik/JohnS/Phil23/Circuit Gizmos for all your helpful advise and support and any other great contributors I have forgotten or not yet come across as a new member. As a new member if I have missed any other significant contributors I apologise.

Happy new year, I'll be watching the new year come in from a nice degustation late night night dinner at Bar360 (The revolving restauant at the top of Australia Square- which is round).

I had a few beers myself, but I do have a couple of bottles of nice white wine to enjoy with dinner tonight. (Not both of them!)

Christmas Day.....New Year's Day.....they're just daze to me, really.
I do enjoy the break from normal day-to-day work though, and I have almost filled my 9-sq-meter skip, which is good effort if I do say so myself!

Even found time to scrape off all the overgrown paths and tiled areas, some of which were totally overgrown. Weather is lovely here in NZ at the moment, with mid to high 20's(Celsius) most days, which is very good weather - for us!

Grogster said   I had a few beers myself,

I got brave and tried a whiskey last night.
My first alcohol since the throat surgery.

It was wonderful (the whiskey, not the surgery) and I am sure it will help me get my voice back again.

I am sure it will be a happy new year for me (eventually)

Jim
