Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Clickable link for Brian's post above....

I have seen reviews of it on YT, such as from Explaining Computers here.

The unit runs very hot from what I have been able to read. Heat is a killer of all things electronic. If you are DESPERATE to run Windows in a small package, perhaps. If not desperate, I would still go for the Pi's. The latest version has a bit faster CPU and better ethernet speed. See this video.

2GB is not enough ram to run W10 and 32GB is barely enough storage to allow you to update W10 reliably, something which happens every 6 months.
A business I looked after made the mistake of trying Intel Computesticks with 2GB/32GB and gave up. It was too painful to do anything with it.
Even as a basic web browsing tool it stinks.

I made the mistake of trying an Intel Computestick with Linux. It's at the back of the cupboard somewhere, collecting dust.

The Compute stick also has overheating problems from what I remember reading. Most modern CPU's will throttle back the clock as they heat up, which means it is hard to cook a modern CPU to death, cos it will run slower and slower as it gets hotter and hotter. I think that can be the problem too. As soon as you load up a CPU that does that WITHOUT enough cooling, it slows down to 486 speed.

I bought a UDOO 4/64 a year or two ago, played with it for a while, then went back to using my raspberry pi and Open Elec.

+1 for all of the above - too little attention paid these days to the longer term reliability aspect with the design focus on size. IMHO size DOESN'T matter...

Also, the novelty value wears off quickly with some of these new toys.

Mind you, Grogs, you have been guilty sometimes of "as small as possible" (all your boards are good tho)

In any case I'm sticking with 'Mites for hobby & control stuff & a serious PC for serious Windows business stuff. (Just retired my 14 year old XP PC after it started letting me know that "I'm tired & don't want to do this any more"

Yup got a Intel Computestick with Linux like all that got suckered. It seems
Intel was was just dumping product not caring about users. Mine is a media box
and a few security cameras thanks to VLC player.

Would have been a good idea if they'd added more ram and storage to begin with.
