Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

How it started

Few years ago I build a mono maximite. I even managed to get the exact same housing as Geoff used. It worked fine, but it ended up in a box.
When I heard Peter had problems with measuring temperatures, I decided to donate the mono maximite to him.

But as soon as I shipped it, I felt regret, and decided to order a color maximite (CGCOLORMAX2). Still having memories of the 80's. But the CGCcolormax is extremely flat, and the idea rose to build it into a keyboard (I most likely am not the only one that came up with this idea).

Took some time before I found a PS2 keyboard on a flee market (in Holland USB keyboards are common for at least 15 years), a dirty and cluttered one that I purchased for 50 cents. After taking it appart, washing the keys, together with my wife's bra, and some cleaning of the inside, I was ready to drill holes. Actually it was easier to melt holes with the soldering iron.

And Huray, in memories of the 80's a keyboard shaped home computer (running of a powerbank in the photo).

Nice one!

Looks great at the rear where you have cut/melted the holes for the connectors.
Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops!
