Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I bought an ili9341 lcd (backpack type).
Connected to the MX170 it works, touch also, but the display has a flaw

The display is 320x240
There is a white line (vertical at X=318 from top to bottom).

I assume it is a flaw in the display, since whatever I do this line stays white.
(first I though it was backlight bleeding through the edge of the active area, but experiemnts pointed out it was IN the active area at location 318).

Software MMbasic 5.04.10 beta 9 (but same in 5.04.09 release).
I assume this is not a software bug in MMbasic, but realy a display fault.

Yes - this is a display issue and not an MMBASIC issue.

I have had a few TFTs arrive like this. The first time I tried fixing it the thin glass got cracked. Next couple of TFTs I created even more damage. So I now test everything when they arrive and immediately report back to the supplier if I have damaged units.

My only suggestion to try is to slightly (i.e. gently) push down over different parts of the TFT glass to see if the line disappears. This probably won't fix your issue, but you may get lucky!

If you order a replacement from the likes of eBay then can I suggest you order at least two - they are cheap enough to do this, and will overcome the common issue of something not working as you can try the 'others' to help pinpoint things such as this.
