I bought a couple of these remotes from AliExpress to try on my latest MM project. US$3.99

They are a nice remote, and work very well. They appear to be 40kHz Sony compatible, and worked immediately with the MM's IR feature.

The remote is solid, and the buttons are tactile, giving a nice click feedback.
The 'TV Power' button blinks red with every keypress.
This remote uses 2x AA batteries.

Here is the key-code table for this unit:

You can also get them on eBay, slightly cheaper, actually:(US$1.89 each)

A good suggestion Grogster.

At £1.84 each from eBay UK (including postage) a couple are heading my way too.

Thanks,

I have never done much (well, anything) with IR but at <£2 per I feel compelled to get some to sit on my shelf "just in case"

dammit! Edited by CaptainBoing 2018-10-16
