Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Whenever I try to reply or write a new thread now, I am getting this weird blue coloured stuff inside the text box for the new thread or reply:

Anyone else seeing this?

Light blue background, and darker-blue area wherever I type anything.

This only started happening since W10 did it's October forced update thing today.
Prior to that, the box was fine. I'm just curious to know if any other members are seeing this.

Looks ok here on the win10 machine, but I did turn off updates on it until MS gets its act together (LOL as if...)

At least you can still type, apparently not considered a requirement for HP owners anymore...
Microsft doest it again, and again- and again!

What browser are you using?
No problems with Firefox on the latest W10 including the October 'feature update'
That's the update they pulled within a day or two because of problems. (I have been OK)

There was an update, so I applied it, but it is just as bad. Was never an issue before the update, so it must be linked to that somehow. *sigh* Edited by Grogster 2018-10-21

OK, here I am in Google Chrome, and there is no problem. The update must have upset something in Opera. I will just use Chrome for now for TBS.

It looks normal here in Firefox, Chrome, IE and even Edge. It must be something in Opera which is the only browser I don't use.

FYI I'm also using Opera and have the same effect. I just ignore it for now.

YOU ARE RIGHT! Thanks a bunch. Google Chrome closed, and I now have everything back in Opera including TBS forums. I owe you a beer of your choice.

Bloody W10 updates!

Opera was just fine till the latest W10 update. I wonder what they(Microsoft) changed to screw with the text box like it was doing? Oh well. All good now.

Yes I had a few minutes yesterday and went looking for the usual suspects in the configuration that the latest Win update may have affected and hardware acceleration was the one that fixed the problem, so MS have obviously changed (enhanced?) something in that area, I checked if there was an update to Opera but I'm running the latest. I like Opera because of the way they do there Bookmarks and it's just nice to use - I've tried every other browser under the sun and keep coming back to Opera.

Interestingly, I note that other then the Opera problem, loading apps and things like PDF's are now a little slower and a bit more sluggish to navigate - again, that was not the case before the update. Hopefully MS are aware of this problem by now, and hopefully will roll out ANOTHER update to fix that fix.....
