See ERROR.LOG below. It initially produced the 5003 error. I then uninstalled and reinstalled with the memory bug fix box ticked. It then produced the 1001 error in Smalltalk/V. I don't know if this is relevant but I always run with Data Execution Prevention enabled. I'd be very reluctant to make an exception to that policy. Error log timestamp 11/14/2018 10:29:02 Message 5003: unable to allocate virtual address space. @factotem, I've been running MMEdit (the last dozen versions up to the latest) under Win 7-64 Pro on an Asus laptop for years without any problems so I suspect it is the environment you have configured on your PC that is causing the issues. If it is not possible to get MMEdit running, you might give Micromite Console by sagt3k (a few posts below) a try. panky. ... almost all of the Maximites, the MicromMites, the MM Extremes, the ArmMites, the PicoMite and loving it! |

Thanks. I don't normally use MMedit, as prefer to use my own editor and TeraTerm. So it isn't essential. I haven't configured my PC in any particular way, except for setting DEP on. |

It is definitely your DEP settings. You could try installing MMEdit into a folder that is NOT in "Program Files" Depending on how tight you have DEP set, that might work. Jim VK7JH MMedit |
