Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I get regular emails from a UK based company called Cool Components.

Often there is nothing really worth getting, however, today's email has TWO products that MM users may find extremely useful.

1> An SPI Analyser

2> A VGA Terminal module

I am in no way linked to this company - I just wanted to share with you all.

Any non-UK TBS member interested, then PM me and I can help sort out shipping.

The SPIDriver is open source. More details are here on GitHub. The author has also created an I2CDriver, currently in the process of being crowd funded. Edited by vegipete 2018-12-21

Interesting modules. The VGA thing is US$28 when you convert from Pounds to USD.
1024x768 output resolution - not bad for thirty bucks. 5v tolerant serial @ 115k2 baud. No downloadable manual or anything telling you how to choose colours etc, unfortunately. I have emailed them asking for it. Some more details would be nice before I decide weather to get one or not.

The MMx has built-in VGA, but eight-colour and lower resolution I think. For all we know, this module may well also only be eight-colour. Again, that's where the manual would be handy! Shame they don't have it right there for download...

Nice finds, WW.
