Happily programming away and periodically doing a Save-As and incrementing a Version number as part of the file number. I have had my W10 tablet take a dump, twice and restarted itself and when I fire-up MM Edit, it loads "V6" of my source when the current one is "V9". Only "V6" shows up in the "recents" as well. I can use "Open" and my "V9" is there. Did I do something to make "V6" the default? |

I think that MMEdit is only remembering the name of the file when it is shut down. If you are only doing save as and not shutting down, the new name is not used on the next startup. I hadn't allowed for forced shutdowns... I will look further when time permits. Jim VK7JH MMedit |

Yes, I've had the same issue. Can take a really big bite out of your you-know-where if you don't happen to be awake & notice ![]() B |

Hi Jim, Is it possible to have two or more completely different incidences of MM Edit running. I.E. with different settings, file locations, port numbers etc. I tried "Save settings in Basic" but it didn't seem to do much. I have not associated MM Edit with Basic files as yet. I'm now doing CMM stuff on my main PC along with uMite stuff. The CMM needs the "Run external file" going but the others don't. Also the main files & backups go to a different place. Just asking. Not life threatening..... Brian ChopperP |

You can have as many 'portable' instances running as you like. 'Portable' saves the configuration in a sub-folder below the exe folder rather than in appdata Jim VK7JH MMedit |

Another quickie: Is there a way to add to the keywords list? Doesn't highlight/capitalize STATIC |

Yes there is but I would wait for a bit. I am changing the way syntax is treated in the next version in an effort to keep up to date with the continual changes to MMBasic. The good news is, a recent change to my medication has enabled me to type again so I might get back to coding at last. Jim VK7JH MMedit |

Many thanks Jim, It's a great little tool...Everything MM related puts a smile on my face. Life just got a heck of a lot easier. Sorry to hear about the need for meds. My passion is the guitar and I am dreading the day that I won't be able to play due to arthritis or some such thing. Touch wood, so far. |
