The little window that normally appears on the screen when "find/replace " is pressed
flashes and then disappears but is in the corner when MMEDIT is minimised, clicking on it makes no difference.
I am using win 10
I don't think this is am MMEdIT problem as I have reloaded the software and switched the computer on and off.
It works ok on notepad and word programmes
Any help would be appreciated

My apologies for not responding to the initial post.
In cases like that, I usually recommend deleting the data folder contents while re-installing.
That refreshes things like window position which can cause problems if they get corrupted.
