Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I'm wanting to use a MAX232 with a Micromite.
For Rx, Com1 feeds a 5V tolerant pin, but for Rx Com2 a NON 5v tolerant pin is used.
Will Micromite Com2 Rx go crispy?
I know a MAX3232 is available, but I have MAX232 already.

Thanks,
John B

Use a resistor divider to reduce the 5V to 3.3V
1.8k and 3.3k is one option.
