Hello again, problems after problems... I ordered a second Waveshare module, with this one, there is no image preview function possible, because it shows the image only randomly and the screen is suddenly fainting or noisy and goes black. After some time it works, just to fade to black again. It is also a lot of image tearing and noise on the normal command prompt. Is the built quality of the waveshare boards so bad? ![]() Any suggestions how to fix it? My mainboard works with my other waveshare module. There is no cable or monitor problem. Hmpf! Daniel Waveshare are normally fine - there is something strange going on. If you want to send me the Waveshare I can test it and return it. Send me a PM and I'll let you have my address. Peter |

I get a lot of the same problems, amnesie. I'm going to do the crystal mod as soon as the parts arrive, and i'll report back if it fixes it. I'm hoping it does. |

Hi Peter, thank you for all your fantastic work! Could the crystal change "mod" help? I would try this first. But at least you are not on the other side of the planet. Germany to UK shipping should be really fast :) But maybe this could be solved by changing the crystal? Is there any experience? I am using the latest firmware (just flashed today). But I think I is a problem on the Waveshareboard. @ Atomizer_Zero Strange! I have a second Waveshareboard which works fine... On my "problem" Waveshareboard the image literally breaks down like a bad VGA-connection. But as told, cables are fine, the other waveshare board works perfect. Is it maybe a different speed CPU? (Note its markings - post them here if you wish.) John |

I think it is the 480Mhz version, the chip says: STM32H743IIT6 (V-version) my other board is the 400Mhz Y-version |

Ok, just got around to soldering in the crystal and capacitor (what a little &$%$ to solder! lol) Output is now Perfect. clean, no video noise, nothing. Looks great. Audio hasn't been an issue for me at all either. |

Oh Yeah, not an easy job ![]() Oscillator Mod fixed my video problems too. But the audio problems persist. |

Any chance you can make a recording of the audio issues? |
