Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Well, I received all (almost) the final parts - which produced a working CMM2. I just need to get the SD card working.

The image is very sharp and clear (800x600 on a 1280x1024) monitor, even at the non-integer scaling. I use (and am used to) Danish keyboards, which constitutes a problem. I am going to post in the thread regarding "foreign" keyboards.

However, I do have a slight issue with the keyboard input. The CMM2 misses many inputs, which really cuts down on the enjoyment. I tried the OPTION USBKEYBOARD XX command many times, and every single time something was missed. I have to look every time I press a button to make sure that it registers.

Any advice?

Congratulations and well done.

I would suggest trying different keyboards to see which suits your CMM2 best.  I use a Logitech K120 (UK layout) which is a fairly basic keyboard.  YMMV

...but then it isn't a mechanical keyboard! How could I live like that? I don't know how you do stuff in Old Blighty, but in the Kingdom of Denmark we go MECHANICAL!

(I will look into trying others   )

There have been various reports of stuck keys (auto-repeat not clearing) but not missing characters. However, there is a "hidden" option you can try.

OPTION USB POLLING n

The default is 3 (mSec) try faster and slower and see if it changes anything.

Oh THANK YOU GOD... I've been having similar issues here (particularly since the 5.5.4 release version)... Makes editing directly on the CMM2 frustrating to say the least...
