Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I wonder why?
Using syntax TIME$ = "HH:MM". It holds but after power off it is lost. Yes battery is in.

Did you remove the jumpers on the Waveshare module?

What do you get with
> print pin("BAT")

Have you set the date as well?

What do you get on the status line (lower right of screen)?

Herry said  haven't set date yet.

That was a hint to set the date if you haven't done so.

Part of the startup checks the year and if it is before 2018, the system assumes that the RTC is not set.

And that was it! All OK now. Incidentally, I couldn't find any reference to that in the manual. Maybe I did not look  (or Ctrl-F) hard enough!
